To find Mariah Carey at her most innocent best you have to come to this album. To me it defines what she once was before she started wearing almost nothing and having the likes Puff Daddy all over her music. Songs like “hero” “Without You” and “Anytime you need a friend” are as good as she gets. Maybe today Mariah Carey is re living her youth after splitting up from her husband to me this is the onlyb decent album she has got and is worth a buy so buy it
Advantages: A very good album Disadvantages: Only 11 tracks
Mariah Carey may not be a very nice person (or at least this the impression I have been given), but she does have one very brilliant voice doesn't she?!?! Her fourth album 'Music Box' is very good. It has sadly only eleven tracks, but those eleven tracks are of very excellent quality. The album includes hits such as: "Dreamlover", "Hero", "Anytime You Need A friend", and "Without You". The eleventh track is supposedly a bonus track, just as well, ... ...Never-the-less, the songs that are there are still very good. Its a shame there isn't more trakcs but, well, we can't dwell, on what hasn't happened can we. It is a good album, and Mariah's talent takes her to higher and higher places. This album, if you can still find it, is definitely worth purchasing if you are a Mariah fan. ...

If big, soppy ballads are your kind of thing, look no further than this album. “Schmaltzy garbage” is how Mariah herself describes the slow songs on this, and frankly, who can disagree with her? But back when she was married to Sony boss Tommy Mottola, nobody could do schmaltzy garbage like Mariah Carey. Out of all her albums, this would have to be the most memorable one with hits such as 'Dream Lover', 'Hero', 'Anytime you need a friend', 'Never forget You' and 'Without You' just to name a few.
Mariah has a lovely voice and you really have to be in the 'mood' to listen to her powerfully emotional songs, if you are in the emotional mood you can expect tears!
I must say that after getting her recent album 'Butterfly', 'Music Box' is still the winner ...

Advantages: nice songs, good lovesongs, my best teacher, I love singing with her Disadvantages: Mariah has totally changed
...this album is for my taste, but it has some great disco songs too. I think best Mariah's hits are on this album and it will always stay my favourite album no matter Mariah has changed, besides music is what matters not how's she's behaving! She'll always stay great singer! ...

This is from the time when Mariah Carey used to make good music, looked good and could open her mouth and string together a sentence without sounding like a brainless bimbo. The best songs on this album are the ballads like the title track and songs like ‘Anytime you need a friend’. The faster songs are really dreadful but as there aren’t many of them this doesn’t really spoil the overall effect of the album. This is a good album but the screechy ...

Personally, I think that this was MariahCarey?s last good album. There are some really beautiful songs here and, unlike on her previous album, ?MusicBox,? the faster songs are actually quite good. The best of the fast songs has to be ?Fantasy? which is a great uplifting track. As with previous MariahCarey albums, the ballads are the best tracks and songs like ?Forever? and ?Melt Away? are really beautiful. The lyrics aren?t that original but unlike on her other albums I didn?t think that MariahCarey?s voice became really irritating after a couple of listens. This is probably the only MariahCarey album that I would recommend. ...

for stupidest title. This is a funky number but not that memorable. Quite sexy, more of a tune to chill out with your boyfriend to than strut your stuff on the dance floor music.
The cd goes a bit rotten in the middle with quite a few unmemorable tracks. So unmemorable that I’m not gonna review them!
It picks up a few tracks along with happier , less feisty tunes such as HAPPY FACE and DANCE WITH ME. These are feel good tunes.
Then the girls get all emotional and lovey dovey with the soulful MY HEART STILL BEATS, this is actually a bit of a heart warming tune and nice to hear them doing something a bit more emotional. The next track EMOTIONS is also a nice track, and nice to chill out to. It has an almost MariahCarey feel to it, something that you may have found on Mariah’s MusicBox cd.
My all time fave tune on here though ...
