...Balamory (Strike Up The Band) is a must-have cd for any young Balamory fan. This lively cd features many of the character's songs that will keep your youngster singing and dancing to their favourite tunes. Most of the tracks are longer versions than those played on tv - it is great to hear the full songs. PC Plum's tribute to Queen in "Follow the Clue" is an amazing track - you almost forget he is singing about sticky buns at one point in the song. Tracks 12 - 14 can be played on your CD Player as normal karaoke tracks. However, if you insert the cd into your PC you'll find it is a CD ROM Enhanced where you can access a Balamory paint package and sing these three tracks with onscreen lyrics. The CD booklet offers children a few puzzles and other games to play - it is almost like a mini Balamory magazine. Great for travel... Read review

Whilst you may typically associate British artists that slowly progress their way through the industry from their small-capacity village halls as those indy acts that have became so popular over the years, the complete opposite of those artists that we have seen developed through reality television to go on and have chart success (running against the clock) with below-par pop records, Amy Winehouse is really neither of these two catagories. In fact, Amy Winehouse is an artist that has created a whole new groove especially for herself and her husband that we have seen have a very volitile relationship from photographs of the pair bloodied and bruised. Advantages: Great fun for all ages. A family Christmas must-have.

The musical arrangement on the piano and the vocals by John Denver are beautiful, as the song deserves. I think this works exeptionally well because you do not expect the conflicting styles of Muppet quirkiness and 'good old fashioned' yuletide crooning to mix. They seem to blend strangely well. 3: The Peace Carol. A folk/Country style as you may expect from John Denver. The meaning of Christmas and various Christmas imagary explored in this song.
