This is one of 2 Michael Ball albums I have at the moment (I will be buying more) and of the 2 this is my favourite.
This is his own selection of songs which he has chosen, as he says, as some of the best examples of contemporary music.
As a big fan of John Miles, I obviously like the title track. Not quite sure why there is a small instrumental version of this at the beginning, and the whole song is at the end, but never mind.
There are some tracks on here which make me turn the volume up. The Show Must Go On is probably one of my all time favourites. He really gives this everything he's got, and it shows the real power and depth of his voice. Fantastic track.
Everlasting Love - another great song sung really well. I like this song anyway, but his voice makes it even better.
I Am Loved - this is one of his own songs, but it's a nice track and his voice certainly comes through.
There are some songs on there which I've never really been fond of, but he makes them sound bearable. I can't stand Sting, but Michaels version of Fields of Gold is well worth listening to, as is Desperado.
I was a little wary of seeing Life On mars on the playlist. Bowie obviously has a style of his own, but Michael more than does it justice. Great Track.
His rendition of You Raise Me Up just shows the power of his voice again. Westlife need 4 of them to get this song across, whereas Michael can get the full emotion of it with just his voice.
If there are any weak tracks for me then they are Desperado, and Bridge Over troubled Water. No reflection on his voice, more that I'm not a big fan of the songs.
This is a good CD from a great singer. I play it in my car when I'm out and about and I've not got fed up with it yet.

Granted he is merely covering some quality songs but he has added one of his own to see if we like it. "I AM LOVED". Personally I think that is a great idea, why waste money and time releasing ... ...when you can combine classic covers and gently introduce the public to your new material.
Michael excels in all he sings he has such an eclectic voice that at some point I would say that there has or will be a some that he will sing that everyone will say that was quality.

Advantages: Some lovely songs, some great vocals Disadvantages: A few weak links, Some tried songs which were too big for them
...mix of songs and a lot of them are by people who I have not heard of, in a way this is good as it bought a lot of new singers to my attention but I personally would have liked to have the songs with the original singer and with the original arrangements and not changed like some have.
Some of my favourite tracks include, Over the Rainbow by Eva Cassidy, I like this one as it is such a lovely song and I think Eva had an amazing voice and she really sound like she means every words she is singing. I also for some reason really like Something Inside so Strong which on here has been sung by MichaelBall. I am please that he kept the song to the original music and did not alter it in any way. He has a nice rich powerful voice and does this song a lot of justice. I do have a soft spot for Russell Watson and his version of Nessum Dorma is very...
