A Soothing Musical Journey

Advantages: Lovely music, tracks your toddler will recognise
Disadvantages: Short, will annoy you after a while

...This In The Night Garden business seems to have taken over my house somewhat. We have books, cuddly toys, puzzles, DVDs, sticker books and a new addition to our worryingly ever-growing collection, the In The Night Garden music CD. Harry is just in love with this bloomin' show, and especially its song which his Daddy and I have to sing on repeat when we put him to bed, so I thought investing in the CD might be a good idea! As you probably know by now, In The Night Garden is the latest children's TV show to take the UK's toddler by storm, and is the obsession of 1-4 year olds across the country. You can buy hundreds of In The Night Garden products at the moment, and this CD is one of the newer additions to the ITNG product range, coming on the market in November, just in time for Christmas! Advantages: Great songs - wonderful, popular tunes
Disadvantages: A few songs aren't as good as the others

...:44) This is played by the English Chamber Orchestra. This famous piece has one of the most lyrical beginnings of any symphony. Schubert said "You can hear the angels singing in it." It is a nice, calming/soothing track that is another of the best tracks on the CD. 8. Bach: Double Violin Concerto BWV1043 - first movement (03:38) This piece, played by the Scottish Chamber Orchestra with solos by Joji Hattori and James Clark, is joyful and lively is good for calming you and lifting your spirit. It also is quite famous, I recognised it when I heard it, though I don't know where I heard it - possibly in a music class in school but I'm not sure. It's a good piece but not wonderful. 9. Delibes: Lakmé - Flower Duet (04:58) This piece, featured in the British Airways TV advert, is played by Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and sung by soprano... Read review

Advantages: Great artists, Fantastic recordings
Disadvantages: A few good tracks missed this set

...that teenagers of my age were listening to during the 80s. But no matter what i listened to i always prefered my Everlys Brothers tape. As time went on and i began to buy my own records i tended to by singles for chart music but the Albums tended to be Rock 'n' roll and quite a collection of the Everlys. Other artists began to take my interest that were not modern and not Rock 'n' Roll. These were artists like Dolly Parton, Kenny Rogers, John Denver or Johnny Cash. So my biggest interest in Rock 'n' Roll was my early experience with the Everlys but my taste in music appeared to being pulled more and more towards Country. It took me a few years to realise that the biggest part of the Everlys music was in fact country based, this became clear as my Everlys collection grew. It is plain to see that the Everlys were my favorite all time artist... Read review
