Elsewhere there are elements such as the Raising & Giving department (RAG) that is found at the majority of universities and Trent Media that includes Trent's student magazine, Platform; television station, Trent TV; and radio station, Fly FM. The latter two were something I had a major part in during my final two years, and certainly didn't effect my studies so would thoroughly recommend getting involved.
And of course, the nightlife is great. The Union's at Byron House in the City and the Point in Clifton hold weekly events, and nightclubs such as Oceana, Ocean, Gatecrasher, Snug and Stealth currently host weekly events that are endorsed by the Student's Union. travel cards and 'zigzag' tickets are ALWAYS limited either by when or where you can use them. On some days it costs me less to do a fifty mile train journey than a six mile bus journey!
**UPDATE***
I went to the central TrentBarton office today (17th Jan 2005) and found that their prices are set to RISE yet again. They will increase to £49per month for 28days of travel in the Nottingham area (well some of it). This is an increase of more that £10 pounds in lss than two years, well above the 3%ish rate of inflation. This is completely unreasonable and I have ammended the 'value for money section' of the review accordingly.
ON THE PLUS SIDE
The majority of the busses are relatively new, although there are still some old bangers in the fleet. The drivers are polite 90% of the time and are Definately more polite than some ...

Advantages: Looks like Ron, durable Disadvantages: small wand accessory
Perfect Harry Potter figure for collectors and for kids to play with!
Ron Weasley is Harrys best friend and a must have figure for any fans. This figure looks just like Ron from the films but the figures are based on the 5th film Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
This figure comes with Rons wand and his patronus when bought as a single figure. If bought as part of a set he will only come with his wand as an accessory.
The wand is obviously quite small and easy to lose unless you take extra special care or attach it to the figures hand with sellotape or blu tack!!
This figure is approximately 3 and 3/4 inches tall in proportion with the rest of the Harry Potter figures.
The figures I find are very durable and tough and should withstand play by children. They do have an age limit of 4+ as they come with the wand ...
