They used to play trance on guitars
Review of Babyteeth - Therapy? by

Advantages: It's a unique sound. It rushes. You can confuse your mates with it.
Disadvantages: ?
...notice that he is actually playing techno beats. Andy Cairns still had his uncanny ability to play backing and lead guitar at the same time when Therapy? recorded this, as shown on the track 'Innocent X' where a obvious techno riff plays over massive trance chord changes.
On many of the songs on this album Therapy have mastered Fugazi's trick of doing weird stuff with a guitar and somehow making it sound good. Combine this with a suspect singing ability that somehow still works and you have an album that should be far more recognised than it is. Tracks such as 'Dancin with Manson' and 'Meat Abstract' have the kind of massive chord shifts and rolling basslines that most bands ( and techno producers ) can only dream of coming up with. Every song on Babyteeth has more musical ideas in it than an entire album of what the band are producing...

Classic Album From Therapy UPDATED
Review of Troublegum - Therapy by
becky77
Advantages: Classic album, argubably their best...good for beginners to Rock & Metal!
Disadvantages: None
...covers a song it can often leave a lot to be desired, (All Saints anyone?) but with "Isolation" Therapy? certainly do it justice by adding their own edge to it. I do think the late Ian Curtis would have been proud!
As an album, "Trouglegum" had a number of singles released from it, all hits, and the rock clubs around this time, played songs like "Screamager" and "Trigger Inside" to death!! Very popular songs!
Although Therapy? have undergone some line-up changes over the years, they've always managed to maintain a good standard of music with their numerous albums, and full respect goes to Andy Cairns for some great lyrics!
It's an album, for some reason, I often play when I'm in the mood for hearing something a little darker and slightly more aggressive (but with true intelligence). It, like all good music, takes my mind off everyday...
