I first heard Rammstein on Kerrang! TV and really enjoyed what I heard and saw. I thought at first they seemed a bit scary but once I got into it I really decided I loved it! I found a website that gives a list of the lyrics in German and English which I found really useful, however I didn't realise until I read it that it was so controversial.
Apart from that I found the album amazing, I like all the songs that are on it and find they all have this atmosphere about them.
If you haven't heard Rammstein before I recommend this for a bit of heavier rock with great ambience and something different to usual 'Kerrang' based music.
I admittedly don't know much German but to be honest it doesn't matter, the music is great anyway!
I loaded it up onto my iTunes to be automatically given the genre of Industrial, now don't let that put you off, there are loads of songs on the album which have a varied style and don't apply that much to 'industrial'.
For a comparison between heavier rock nowadays I think that Rammstein apply something different to their music. Apart from not understanding what they're talking about, looking up the lyrics reveals a well thought through album full of combinations of topics they choose to sing about!

Great review, have got some kicking tunes.
Difficult to take seriously like "The Darkness" but without the tackiness.
Try to hear their version of Kraftwerk's "The Model", seminal.

Advantages: Powerful rock music with strong choruses... Disadvantages: Sung in German, which may put off the casual listener (i'd recommend it anyway.)
