I really enjoy listening to this album, it's full of female angst and the songs are very catchy, so I find myself singing along to them. Kelly Clarkson has had more of an influence in the songwriting in this album, and the resulting songs are packed with feeling and are original. The subject matter probably appeals to girls more than men though, as quite of few of the songs are about lost love.
The album starts off with 'Never mind' which has been released as a single, and if you liked this song you'll like the album. A lot of the songs are rock pop like 'Never mind', but the album also has some softer songs like 'Sober', 'Be still' and 'Maybe'. There are a couple of tracks I'm not that keen on like 'Yeah', but on the whole it's a good album, which I think is better then her previous album Breakaway.
Breakaway has a much sofer edge to it than My December, so if you liked 'Behind these hazel eyes', 'Gone' and 'Walk away' off the last album than you'll like Kelly Clarkson's new album. If you weren't keen on these songs than you'll probably want to give this album a miss!
