K is for Kinder Surprise!
The surprise, of course, is there's no flipping chocolate there, a plastic egg thing the size of a golf ball that has yet more plastic inside, usually a toy or something. If I wanted a Christmas cracker gift I would buy a Christmas cracker! What are we supposed to eat here? It's made somewhere obscure in central Europe where all the houses are made of chocolate and candy and is just too expensive to bother with any more.

Advantages: All you can think of Disadvantages: I can't think of any
...I was born in winter,
Easter is in spring,
I met my husband in summer,
Married him a year later
Had a daughter a year after that,
Plums are myfavorite fruit which ripen nicely in autumn.
So, as you can see, all the seasons are my favorites while they are here and I mourn the passing of each one every year.

Advantages: Yummy, Flavours, Cheap, Disadvantages: Many no longer exist
...had been rolled in coconut. My personal preference was to eat all the coconut and discard of the centre due to my dislike of black liquorice.
Pips ? Pips came in many flavour, Spearmint, Cola, Rhubarb & Custard etc but I remember either strawberry or raspberry pips sold in large jars on the back counter of the shop. The type of sweet they used to weigh out and place in a paper bag for you. The only downside to the hardboiled pips was that in the sun they stuck to the paper, ripped the bagged and weren?t easily saved.
Chocolate footballs ? these football shaped chocolates offered just enough per sweet to satisfy a craving. I used to sneak a few footballs in my sweet bag just take the edge off the fruity flavours the majority of other sweets offered.
Reisens ? These chocolate toffee delights are the sort of food which once you start...
