Marking the end of the Classic YES era
Review of Tormato [Remastered] - Yes by CrutcHead

Advantages: good materials
Disadvantages: rushed production

...you. The album boasts of some very brilliant materials, that have unfortunately only suffered some dry production setbacks due to schedule delays, caused by frictions and arguments within the band- which in the end-result, Rick Wakeman left the band for the second time; and this time around, lead man Jon Anderson also left the group, resulting to the number of his solo projects and a number of skits with former APHRODITE'S CHILD (comprised with famed greek singer Demis Roussos) Vangelis, before Anderson (of course I'm not talking about Jethro Tull) got back with the band again (this time with South African rock heartthrob Trevor Rabin on vocals and guits - which spawned the 80's Yes type of music); and in turn, this departure of Wakeman and Anderson after this album's release also brought forth YES' (only(?) effort without Anderson) lp... The exhilarating breeze of revolution
Review of Nevermind - Nirvana (US) by dave27

Advantages: Cobain, the attitude, the songs
Disadvantages: Over too soon

...up your legs, grabbing at your clothes and threatening to infect you with their darker, desperate lusts. The quieter bits here are the more unsettling as the band wind up the tension and the cloying, claustrophobic mania which they were so skilled in exploiting. Lounge Art ------------------------------------ For once, Nirvana deal with more standard subject matter - relationships. But you know with Cobain that it's never going to be as simple as that. A wonderful bass line opens this up and creates a freer feel than much of the other stuff on here as he describes the pain of being smothered in a dead partnership, where only the warmth of hatred keeps things alive. "And I've got this friend, you see Who makes me feel and I Wanted more than I could steal I'll arrest myself, I'll wear a shield I'll go out of my way to prove I still Smell... Read review

A true taste of the outback
Review of Didgeridoo Concerto - Mark Atkins by didgey101

Advantages: Easy listening, Great playing techniques
Disadvantages: Probably aimed more at the Didgeridoo enthusiast

...Imagine you are in the dusty outback of Australia, The sun is just beginning to set, the wind is calm and then from a distance you start to hear the eerie drone of the Didgeridoo. To me there is no sound like it but then I have been a Didgeridoo player and enthusiast for over 8 years now and to me it is the true sound that can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and send shivers through your skin. The Didgeridoo is said to be the oldest wind instrument in the world and is also the closest instrument to nature as it is purely a single log of wood which has been hollowed by termites found in the northen parts of Australia. This album is one of my favourites in my collection played by who I think is one of the best Australian Aboriginal players around - Mark Atkins. Mark Atkins is from the Yamitiji tribe from western...
