Advantages: Lovely to listen to Disadvantages: None if you like Harry or sinatra
I am a big fan of Harry Coonick Jnr, so this will be a bias review.
Harry is known to sound like Frank Sinatra but who cares they both sound great 2 of the best voices I have ever heard. This CD is typical of Sinatra's era 50's 60's, and Harry singing these ballads does them justice he sounds great.
It was recorded in the studios in L.A and is 50.20 minutes long. lot of crooning for you money.
This is his 16th album for the columbia label

produce a very well rounded album. It is certainly produced with the season in mind, and whilst it can be a little cheesy at times, it definitely fits the bill.
HarryConnickJrHarryConnickJr was born in NewOrleans in 1963, and started to play the piano at a very early age, performing at his father's investiture as District Attorney for NewOrleans at the age of 5. As the area has such a strong mixture of music, such as native creole, jazz and blues, it is not surprising that Harry himself has a wide taste in music, which shows through well on many of his albums, and certainly on this one.
Whilst his main skills lie in music, Harry is also well known as an actor, performing in Memphis Belle and most recently as Leo on "Will and Grace".
He sings with a rich, mellow, crooner-type voice, which has led many commentators to call him ...

HARRY?S BACK! And doing what he does best????????.
HarryConnick Jnr returns to the easy listening musical fold with his new cd ?Only You?.
It?s pleasing to see HarryConnick returning to what he does best, which is him and a piano and a stunning Sinatra-esque voice crooning through classic tunes in his inimitable charming way.
HarryConnick Jnr has often swayed from his big band, crooning style on some of his latter albums and it?s good to hear these fine simple arrangements tunefully stating a return to his roots.
If you enjoy the young pretenders such as Jamie Cullum and alike then you will not be disappointed with this rework of some fine classics done by an exceptional talent.
Sit back, relax and close your eyes?????????.baby.

Album Notes
Jazz-funk re-interpreter, actor and bandleader Harry Connick Jr. showcases new material alongside old standards on his tribute to the devastated city of New Orleans. Among the four new compositions on 'My New Orleans' is the single 'All These People', which Connick Jr. wrote after witnessing the destruction that Hurricane Katrina wrought on the titular city. The standards are all New Orleans-associated tunes, with composers including Allen Toussaint, Hank Williams and Hoagy Carmichael.
