Now for some reason I am really getting into R & B just lately. IN one of my recent reviews I referred to a R & B album being possibly the first and last that I may ever buy, well that has changed and overnight I seem to have become quite fond of this kind of music, someone has obviously influenced me, but I can't think who.
Jay Sean, a couple of weeks ago, if someone mentioned his name to me I wouldn't have had a clue who he was, possibly an actor, singer maybe, I would have been oblivious to who he was, however his album has now found it prized place in my ever increasing collection of R & B music.
Jay Sean, is a British Indian singer, originally born as Kamaljit Singh Jhooti. Although I had never heard of him before he has actually released two albums in which My Own Way is the second album. Majority of the tracks that have been released haven't gone too far up the charts however he has had a couple that have been in the top twenty and to be honest after listening to his album, I feel that they could have done a lot more with the backing from the radio stations as I must admit I can't say that I have heard them a great deal on the radio, if at all, I've just picked up on his name from somewhere and decided to purchase the album after watching a couple of the track son youtube.
My Own Way was released in May 2008 and from the album three singles have been released Ride It, Maybe and Stay. Maybe the song that influenced me to purchase the album reached number 19 in the UK charts.

Ride It Maybe I Won't Tell Stay Stuck In The MIddle Good Enough Cry All Or Nothing Runaway Waiting Used to Love Her Just A Friend Murder Easy as 1, 2, 3
On a similar scale as Usher, not quite a big though, I think he could actually go quite far. The album personally I think is flawless, even with some of Ushers tracks on his album I tend to skip them. His vocals are great, a pleasure to listen to and this guy can sing in my opinion. Majority of the tracks are on a ballad kind of basis, but it nice to listen to a guy sing these kind of tracks rather than a woman.
A lot of various funky beats make each track unique and more easy to listen to because you don't feel that you are listening to the same track which is just a little bit different than the one before. Its a pleasure to listen to and makes a bit of change listening to something like this than the usual kind of music that i listen to.
My favourite track has got to be Maybe, he sings of his love for a woman that he is going out with, and is hoping that Maybe she feels the same about him. Its the song that made me buy the album so has got to be my favourite, however all the songs are just equally as good.
With a lot more promotion thorugh the radio stations to raise the profile of this guy, I can imagine, not only myself will be writing good reviews of his album on ciao.
Its well worth a listen if you like this kind of music.
...asian R'n'B singer, and in my opinoin his work has not been apprecuated enough. For those that don't know Jay previously released an album called 'Me against myself', the feel of the album was quite hip hop and include afew bhangra influenced tracks.
His new album is called 'My own Way', this album is a must have for R'n'B lovers. The following tracks are included on the album:
Ride It
Maybe
I Won't Tell
Stay
Stuck In The MIddle Good Enough
... ...Just A Friend
Murder
Easy as 1, 2, 3
The feel of the album is very relaxed and meaningful. It is definitely a good album for when you come back from a hard days work and want to kick back and relax. There are some more upbeat tacks on the album, a very good mix of moods. The songs themselves seem to have very meaningful lyrics, they are mostly about love like most R'n'B songs but they sometimes feel like he's actually singing through experience. ...

Advantages: Some good tunes, suitable for anyone any age Disadvantages: Also some poor quality tunes, getting worse each time a new ones out
' Perfect Day' the song was originally by Mark Wills, I feel Cascada has killed this song that has no originality.
*17. Booty Luv - Some Kinda Rush
Very fast catchy tune been around quite a while it was released on the 24th December 2007. This song is from Booty Luvs album 'Boogie 2Nite'.
*18. Samim - Heater
Really good instrumentals but lacks any vocals though. Still very addictive it grew on me and I now feel it is one of the better songs on this album. Lots of music effects throughout the track.
*19. Mary J. Blige - Just Fine
A track from Mary J. Blige's eighth album Growing Pains Album another track I just can't get into however it is listenable.
*20. JaySean -Ride It
This track is the first single from JaySean's second album 'MyOwnWay' which came out at the end of 2007, it's a good easy listening calm song.
*21. Shayne ...
'My Own Way' is the second album by British RnB star Jay Sean. Mixing slick RnB, hip hop and desi beats, this album picks up where 2004's debut 'Me Against Myself' left off. Production duties are undertaken by Rishi Rich, Timbaland, Brian McKnight and The Underdogs amongst others. This is a fresh and confident follow up and includes the singles 'Ride It' and 'Maybe'.
