singer's vast back-catalogue for a remarkable two-CD set. Sinatra was one of the greatest voices of his--or any--generation, and for the most part, these songs are some of Old Blue Eyes' finest works: among the best are "Come Fly with Me", "Lady Is a Tramp" and "I Get a Kick out of You".But with such an immense and classic back-catalogue of songs to choose from, it's a shame that the compilers felt it necessary to add so much cheese: "Bad, Bad Leroy Brown" and "Mrs Robinson", for example, don't do Sinatra, the songs, or the listener any justice. Still, that's why CD players have "skip" buttons.--Robert Burrow

So many gr8 backings, so many moods. I'm certainly not his number 1 fan but this is hard to ignore, really brings a vitality to these songs.
Love and marriage, go together like a horse and carriage...
Frank leaves you starstruck and spellbound: you'll soon be hunting out his other albums! Plays well in surround sound, I enjoy this in the car on a long journey. There's a lot of songs so it's good value for money and the quality is A1*+ you won't buy better.
As a side issue "donf", I'm not doing this to get paid, I don't care about money and if you want to know, I have LOST my copy so I can't rate this song by song, what do you want, eh, bar by bar "hm, well folks I'm concerned about the level of intergration in bar 47 between the second alto sax and the fourth trombonist whom I heard sneezing.."
Listen, I'm not an expert on products, life's too fleeting: I just go with the emotion of how I feel about the thing: good vibes, bad vibes, how many of you guys want to wade thru a 5000 word BORING review, eh?
Advantages: Contains most of his great hits and covers of other great songs. Disadvantages: Missing Somewhere Beyond the Sea.
...Without a doubt, we all know that everyone enjoys listening to FrankSinatra. He is one of the, if not the most famous and well recognised names in Jazz music.
This CD is brilliant, it has all of his famous hits spread between the 2 CD's including MyWay, I get a kick outa you, fly me to the moon, under my skin and mack the knife. It does miss the track somewhere beyond the sea but the rest of the songs make up for it by far.
When some people pay over £10's for an album with 12 tracks on, only because 2 or 3 of their favourite songs are on there and you compare it to this album, there is no comparison. In total you are paying for 46 great tracks including covers of other great songs. eg, Yesterday by The Beatles and Mrs. Robinson by Simon and Garfunkel.
I am a very big fan of Frank and I cannot encourage you enough to buy this...
