Advantages: Great tracks, good lyrics, amazing vocals Disadvantages: You may need to listen to it a couple of times before you love it
....
The cover of the album is pure Annie. Didn’t she always like to be different, and to shock? Bare is no exception. Annie photographed herself for the album, and she appears on the front, wearing no make up, with a strangely drawn, haunted look about her. She is ghostly white, apparently naked, wearing only a dog collar.
A thousand beautiful things starts with a harp, and is a slow song, with Annie’s voice at its best. Apart from keyboard and a slow drum, there is little else in the way of instruments to be heard. It’s an uplifting, although slow start to the album and points out that there are a lot of things to be happy about in the world.
"I thank you for the air to breathe
The heart to beat
The eyes to see again
(a thousand beautiful things)
And all the things that's been and done
The battle's won"

The front cover shows Annienaked , pale and worn . The only exception is a dog collar necklace . This is Annie , in her own words..."I am a mature woman facing up to failed expectations of life and facing up to 'Core' issues , I don't want to represent myself visually in some kind of cliched airbrushed saccharine kind of way . I want to reveal myself as I am".
The inner sleeves contain the full lyrics and a scattering of photographs , plus the usual credits .
The photographs used are by Annie and her friend Allan Martin ( a graphic designer ) , and were a combination of experimentation and learning . All future photographic material will be by these two.

Advantages: Ridculously Catchy Pop Disadvantages: Errrr none really!
...My six year old sister introduced me to Annie... cos she kept singing this damn 'Chewing Gum' tune which I though was like a kids TV theme... then I saw it on the box and thought "genius".
Who is Annie? Well shes a popstress from Sweden (I think lol) where she is very well know and about to tour. So far her three singles 'Greatest Hit', 'Chewing Gum' and 'Heartbeat' have (shamefully) failed to light the UK singles chart or airwaves but hopefully she will keep going cos shes good.
Shes had it rough her boyfirend and co-writer died tragically not long after her first single 'Greatest Hit' in 2003. Then spotted by Richard X as a female of talent he got her on his album. After this she carried on writing and here is her debut album.
The album opens with the Richard X (God Of Electro-pop) produced 'Intro'. I'm not a fan of intro...
