Advantages: It's Bowie Disadvantages: None come to mind
...that together with Mary Visconti's backing vocals herald the beginning of one of Bowies greatest singles, this track you can dance to you can also marvel at the cyborg style croon of Bowie that enshrouds you in it's melancholic grandeur "Blue, blue electric blue, that's the colour of my room, where I will live" you can look at it as Bowies ultimate retreat song, and as a piece of perfect pop confection at just over 3 minutes long.
"Always crashing in the same Car" was and still is one of my personal favourites on this album, I don't know why it could be the delivery of Bowie vocals or it could be the catchy little guitar licks by Ricky Gardener and Carlos Alomar or the way the synthesiser sounds and guitar treatments go from speakers as Bowie speaks the intro "Every chance, Every chance that I take, Take it on the road, Those kilometres...

Advantages: Synths add new dimension to solid foundations, superb production Disadvantages: Cringeworthy lyrics in places
...After Death'. Eddie is an evil-looking cyborg, complete with laser-gun, marauding a 'Blade-Runner' style futuristic city. The band themselves appear in the background, with Dickinson holding a brain (a nod to a previous album 'Piece of Mind'), and McBrain dressed in 'Aces High' flight gear. The sky includes a metallic-looking 'Saturn' spinning, comets, and fighter planes. In the far background, lightning hits a mountain top, creating a prism of light that forms a 'pyramid' shape. Almost all shops and restaurants are named after a Maiden track or album, and almost all images reference tracks or albums too. It is fantastic to behold, and will keep you interested for a while!
As for the music, it has a 'fururistic' and 'cold' edge to it, with guitar and bass synths used to great effect, as well as other synthesiser effects.

Advantages: Different Disadvantages: Too much going on
...prefer something more raw than an experimental, over the top concoction of styles. This album does have hints of greatness but overall gives me the feeling I am listening to a more angrier Dream Theater in a fit of rage.
