Advantages: Fantastic sun-filled pop, latin beats and rocky choruses Disadvantages: It's a long album, so inevitably there is some filler
...I really love this guy. And anyone who has been in Europe this summer and heard 'La camisa negra' blasting out of hundreds of clubs does too. He's complaining about how much his girl has done him wrong, but over such a danceable beat that everyone ends up happy. That's the key to Juanes - whether he's bitter or deliriously in love, it's all delivered with positive energy. So he gets away with lines about how he wears a black shirt because his soul is black too...
Don't be put off by the album art, where Juanes looks like a hairy 80s rocker. The sound is pretty rocky, nothing harsh, but plenty of driving beats, especially on tracks like 'Nada valgo sin tu amor', my personal favourite. He's Columbian, which shows in his use of latin dance rhythms and guitars, especially on 'La camisa negra' and 'A Dios le pido'. He moves from smooth...

Advantages: A beautiful piece of composition, 20 tracks so value for money. Disadvantages: None,
...familiar piece and is the central theme of the film that, using a variety of instruments, captures Amelie's life-loving, fun personality perfectly. There is a solo piano version of this track that slots in as track 19.
Track 4, "Comtine D'un Autre Ete: L'apres Midi" is undoubtedly my favourite. A haunting, meloncholic piece played on a single piano, it would also be recognisable to anyone who has watched the Classic FM TV channel as they often use it in their advertisements.
There are two tracks featured on the CD ("Guilty" and "SiTu N'etais Pas La") which are not composed by Tiersen but fit into the score perfectly. They are both original 1930s pieces and almost smell of that bygone era.
I cannot honestly say there is a track I dislike on this album, I love it and that's why I chose it to be the first I would review.
For those who know...

Advantages: sone good tunes Disadvantages: some bad ones
...I was lent this album by a friend, who insisted that I would fall in love with it, as it was so great.
To tell you the truth the first time I listened to it I didn't see what all the fuss was about. But in the interests of fairness I gave it another listen and found that it wasn't as bas as I first thought.
This album is definitely fifty-fifty in that half the songs were very good and half the songs were quite bad. Enrique has a very thick accent that can be quite annoying and there are times when his voice sounds very like his father. I think Enrique shows great potential and in a few albums time when he's more polished and has developed a style of his own then he will be great....
