Advantages: Great film, directing, acting and plot Disadvantages: none for me!
'Women On The Verge of a NervousBreakdown', or 'Mujeres al Borde de un Ataque de Nervios' in the original Spanish, is a 1988 film directed by the world famous Pedro Almodovar, who has made popular films such as 'Volver', which was made in 2006, and 'Bad Education' in 2004.
The general story of this film is that Pepa's lover Ivan has just left her, leaving her devastated and unsure as to what to do. She receives some important news, and tries to track down Ivan to tell him, as it 'concerns them both'. Meanwhile, Pepa's friend Candela is in trouble and keeps calling her for help, but Pepa is too busy with her own troubles to care, and Ivan's mentally disturbed ex-wife is just as keen to track down Ivan and get him back.
I apologise to fans of this film, as that brief synopsis in no way does justice to how fantastic this film is ...
Advantages: great theme park for adrenaline junkies and calmer people Disadvantages: not really suitable for a bank holiday Monday outing
of the facilities as ciao have a little combo box for it. They are great, toilets are spotless and around every corner, the bins are emptied every time you think of putting something in one and the pavements/streets are also very clean. All round, the standard of the park is next to none apart from other parks.
- Oh yeah, I better explain the title. EddieCochran once sung 'Summertime Blues' with the line "ain't no cure for the summertime blues." Of course, this is wrong as you'll find a trip to Florida and Busch Gardens will remove those blues quite nicely.
Verdict
I love this because of the large amount of rollercoasters (and other reasons).
My mum loves this even though she despises rollercoasters.
Now, that means basically anyone who goes here will love it, I am sure there are some people who would go and walk around all day and yawn ...
Advantages: excellent lyrics and a solid mix of sounds and ideas. Disadvantages: can at times get a little wrapped up in itself...
It's been five long years since Green Day re-wrote mass opinion with their 2004 epic American Idiot, an album that saw Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tre Cool finger George Dubya as the main target of their burly political frustrations. A rock opus in its own glorious right, ...Idiot channelled all its anger and discontent into an hour plus tirade about the Bush administration, the US media and every little significant detail which Armstrong's barbed song writing chose to centre on. That was five years ago; now Dubya's gone, Obama's moved in and the Berkeley boys have moved on to pastures new - more specifically the mass head-scratching as to just how their homeland recovers from their former leaders lengthy term.
21st Century Breakdown and its 70's style grandiosity centres itself around our two chief protagonists Gloria ...
