I was given this CD as a Christmas present as I was a huge fan of Take That when they first came out so my son thought I may like this CD but to be honest I have the first Greatest Hits CD and there is not much difference but I never said anything to him.
Take That back in the 1990s were a 5 piece boyband (Gary, Robbie, Mark, Jason & Howard) later to become a 4 piece when Robbie left to pursue his solo career.
It was in 1996 when the sad news came that was to break the hearts of a lot of teenage girls all over the country Take That were to split and to be fair I think everyone thought that it would be Gary Barlow who would be the big name but they were wrong and it was our Robbie who has made it for himself.
Anyway enough of me going on about the band what about the music, well the CD comprised of 19 tracks (listing below) which mainly were all hits for the boys back in the 19s however there is one track no 19 Today I've Lost You which was previously unreleased but it was to be the next track to be released after Back For Good but the band split before it could be
released.
This CD has brought back some good memories for me not only the band and the music but memories of my life back then and I find it a joy to listen to the music again such as Everything Changes which was one of my favourites its a great bouncy tune that gets you going i still find myself having a wee dance to myself when i have it on.
The boys were great as their music was a good mix of slow and fast tracks so you have music to suit all your moods. The track listing is as follows
1. Never Forget
This is a good track to open the CD afterall it is the title of the album and it is mediocre track not too bouncy and not too slow.
2. Back For Good
The last single that Robbie sung on before his departure in Summer 1995 and i find it a good easy listening track.
3. How Deep Is Your Love
Originally a hit for the BeeGees and i felt the boys covered it well and i remember the video for this one well, to me its not one of their best but still good.
4. Pray
I loved this one it is a very bouncy track and was a fantastic video for this seeing the boys half naked prancing about was a real treat i can tell you.
5. Relight My Fire
Again this is a cover version of an old hit and had Lulu featuring on it some may say that is a good thing and some may say not but i found it a very danceable track and over the years this is the track that you hear played most at parties etc.
6. Everything Changes
Another of their danceable tracks with Robbie taking the lead this time which made a great change i remember when this was released having it blasting from my stereo and the windows wide open and of course the down side me singing along with it.
7. Babe
We are lowering the tempo on this one and this time it was Mark's turn to sing it wasnt one of my favourites from the boys i have to say.
8. Sure
This is another of the mediocre tracks not too fast but not too slow which again makes it a good easy listening track.
9. It Only Takes A Minute
Back to the dancing around now this was one of their first releases which again showed they boys abilities to dance.
10.Million Love Songs
I thik this is my favourite balad that the boys done, my memories is Gary Barlow playing the piano on this one.
11.Could It Be Magic
Yet another cover version by the boys this was originally sung by Barry Manilow but i have to say the boys done it far better i mean could you imagine Barry Manilow dancing around a garage i dont think so lol.
12.Why Can't I Wake Up With You
I think that was the question on every young girls lips when this was released.
13.Love Ain't Here Anymore
This is not a favourite of mine so i have to admit to skipping this track.
14.I Found Heaven
Another one with a bit of a beat to it.
15.Promises
This was one of their earlier tracks but again folks i have to admit to skipping this track
16.Once You'Ve Tasted Love
Another of their earlier tracks but didnt do so well in the charts.
17.Pray (Live Berlin 1994)
Like it says in the title its Live in Berlin I never understand why bands do this having a duplicate song on an album we already have heard Pray earlier.
Again we have already heard the original earlier ok this is remixed but to me the original is better
19.Today I've Lost You (Previously Unreleased)
This would have been their next single after Back for Good had they not split up.
Following a documentary last year the boys announced a reunion tour sadly minus Robbie but as far as i am aware the tour is a sell out - no I didnt get a ticket lol.
Thanks for reading my first review Shirley

wasn't TT the one that was always competing with Blur? My youngest daughter followed Blur, but I can't say I took too much notice except cancelling her subscription to Brittania Music (or whatever the music club was called) as she was underage for credit and they should not have signed her up
