Kurt Cobain,Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic. Know as Nirvana, they were one of the biggest and most influential bands of all time.
Nevermind is possibly one of the best albums in history and in any of the recent best albums of the past 100 years and has always been in the top ten which says something about the albulm!
**I first heard of Nirvana (like most fans of Nirvana) through Smells Like Teen Spirit, the greatest rock song of the decade, When i bought Nevermind i expected twelve loud, raging, Teen Spirit type songs fueled with hate, anger and totaly without emotion, i could not have been more wrong, Kurt Cobain's rasping vocals and agnst driven vocals on tracks such as " Come As You Are" are enough to cause a tear in your eye.
Nevermind was not the rock album i expected it is in fact a true work of art, "Polly" an apology on behalf of the male sex is calm whereas "Drain You" and "Lounge Act" are maginifant examples Kurt Cobain's ability to write loud rock songs with unrivaled melodys Kurt Cobain really was a hell of an artist!
Smells like teen spirit Has to be my personal favorite song of recent times with the amazing power of dave grohl's(now in Foo Fighters) drumming and the distorted guitar and raspy voice of Kurt cobain combined with the highly complex bass riffs of Khirst Novaselic, teen spirit is the song which has created such a huge following of the group it is the song which people will always remember Nirvana for as it is one of the best Rock songs ever created!
"In Bloom", the second track is another great rock track also showing Kurt Cobain's versatility in the lyrics department.
All the songs on this albulm are great this has already been called the best rock albulm of all time by magazines such as Kerrang! **

Now, I prefer Classic Rock meself, but I have to say I am a fan of Nevermind. While I wouldn't call it the best rock album ever (and I don't really like Teen Spirit), it is very good, and I love 'Come as you are'. I prefer Black Sabbath, but, each to their own. Nice op. :)
