'Joe Thomas' is the seventh album from American RnB artist Joe released in September 2008.
I have been a huge fan of this artist for many years and have always known him as 'Joe' so I did a little digging on this album and found that his full name is indeed 'Joe Lewis Thomas' and this is his self-titled album after so many years and after 6 other great albums..
Although it is his self-titled album, in my opinion it is not his best. In my opinion, his best album to date is still 'My Name Is Joe' , his third album released in 2000 which reached 3 x Platinum in the US and is one of my favourite albums to date.
Back to 'Joe Thomas', the album has a great selection of tracks; the more popular ones being 'E.R' which was released as the main single off the album. It is a smooth RnB track with an upbeat slightly paced track so you can dance to it as well as chill and relax to it and this is the general flow of the album...
The other more popular track is 'Man in Your Life' which is another one of Joe's smooth RnB tracks that is easy to listen to and enjoyable..
Other popular tracks are 'Why Just Be Friends', 'We Need to Roll', 'Heart Behind My Eyes' and 'I will Again' which are also my favourite tracks on the album.
The album has 19 tracks in total though this consists of 14 full tracks and the other 5 are snippets of tracks that will be on his next album...
I'd recommend giving this album a good listen, Joe maintains his smooth RnB style with a good selection of slow tracks, some more upbeat tracks to dance to, I'd recommend listening to this with some good bass (queue the sub woofer!) to appreciate the background soundtracks that are nicely done, lyrics are well-written, good voice and vocals and for the fans, more of Joe! Good album...
