Advantages: Excellent chill out music, what a voice! Disadvantages: You can't sing along to some songs cos you can't suss the words out!
...Just sitting here tonight chilling I read an opinion earlier that gave GregoryIsaacs a mention. Now, he's been one of my favourites for years so I thought I'd share one of his many albums with you. Red Rose For Gregory was released way back in 1988 but has been re-released many times due to it's unerring popularity, hopefully this review will convince you to give him a try. So who is GregoryIsaacs? He's only THE reggae dancehall master - Sean Paul wasn't even born when Gregory started releasing his reggae classics and now Sean Paul is not only born but also out of nappies and into condoms, Gregory is still doing the business. He's well over 50 now and commonly referred to as the 'Grandaddy of Reggae', not bad for a guy who was at one time being busted for gun charges on a regular basis in 70's Jamaica!

Advantages: So many great songs Disadvantages: So many more could be on there
...It may seem a bit late to be reviewing an album for the Millennium at the beginning of 2001…and then again, depending on your viewpoint, you may think that 2001 is the beginning of the newMillennium. Anyway, it doesn’t really matter because the point is that this is a brilliant album.
It must have been very difficult to select just 37 songs to represent the Millennium and inevitably some great songs were missed out. But included are so many classics that you will be sighing throughout.
Back in 1999 Channel Four asked music-lovers to choose the songs which they thought ought to be included on this one-off album. So, this album really is “by popular demand.”There are on this 2CD compilation some of the greatest pop and rock hits ever, by some of the most talented artists we have. Some of the tracks have never...

Advantages: beter than original, loads of classics Disadvantages: Anyone seen the Beatles???
...Already owning the original 'Music Of The Millennium' and having enjoyed it a lot, I thought it would be worthwhile checking this new incarnation out. It certainly has all the makings of a "best songs ever recorded" album, with Queen, The Rolling Stones, Oasis, and all the other usual suspects APART FROM THE BEATLES!!!
Aside from this lack of the 'best band ever', the album is really quite goo, with only a few poor tracks, like 'Protection' by Massive Attack, and a couple of others.
On the whole, this album contins the featured bands best work, rather than most popular, e.g. 'Don't Look Back In Anger', by Oasis, rather than 'Wonderwall', 'Under Pressure' rather than 'Bohemian Rhapsody', 'Angels' rather than 'Millennium', i could go on...
Having listened to both of these MOTM compilations, this is definitely superior, and could...
