? Well if you love house music, funk, techno, Armand Van Helden or want something different....then yes. Definitely. It's a great purchase. It's won't ring ring everyone's bell but "New York: A Mix Odyssey" is a worthwhile purchase and one you won't get sick of listening to. The cover to "New York: A Mix Odyssey" is pretty striking. It shows a writing table with champagne, records etc....basically the remnants of a good party night. Rinse vol 2 mixed by Skream-Pretty heavy!!

Advantages: Good selection of skream tracks
Disadvantages: the frequencies tend to stay in the same conceptual space too often

This mix is quite a hefty run through of all the big tracks of 2007 in the world of Dub-step (which is a relatively new but ever-increasingly popular music genre). The sound is from London and the UK (which is where most of the producers on the mix come from. The tracks are based upon what DJ Skream likes personally and what he plays at DJ sets (or was in the 2007-2008 period). Kulture kicks off the mix with a reggae infuse synth bassline rizing track which gets the energy levels pumping straight from the outset (interesting way to start a mix!) Next is a track from Skream himself which was popular one on pirate radio and in D clubs 'wobble that gut' with minimal progressive beats and bass-lines. Paul Van Dyk is nothing short of a legend, for years Paul has managed to maintain the secret to striking a good balance between calm chilled music to relax to and hard fast club music. Paul appears in Cream fields in Merseyside and has wow?s many people around the world. No matter how many times he takes and remixes a track he can always make it sound more original every time and his skills as a DJ are sure to leave you listening to the same track and mix with out getting bored Paul is one of few people who DJ that can mix music with the sound of a piano the music that he creates in the CD like many others in nothing short of a work of art I feel that some of his music is more urban dance if you see where I am coming from.
