..."This is an adventure into that downtown New York City vibe" ~ Armand Van Helden
For me Armand Van Helden is a dance music legend, as a child of the nineties I grew up listening to his house and techno classics. He is thee man. This the guy responsible for making Tori Amos "Professional Widow" and The Sneeker Pimps "Spin Spin Sugar" massive hits. As well as producing some damn fine house records himself such as "You Don't Know Me" and "The Funk Phenomena". His artist albums have never failed to impress; he always tries something new and inventive. As a DJ he is a master of the decks with all the tricks up his sleeve, he can mix everything thing from house and techno to hiphop and ragga. If he's playing at a club he's still sure to be the hottest ticket in town.
Armand started DJ-ing at the age of 15, he spent a lot of his childhood...

Advantages: A great look at the influences of The Prodigy Disadvantages: This won't please their new commercial fans
...Why is this listed in techno? Liam Howlett gives an excellent showmanship on the wheels of steel, that gives a taste of Breaks and Hip Hop more than techno (don't see no Jeff Mills trickery here).
CD was released under the pretence of 'Prodigy presents Dirtchamber SessionsVol.1' with the idea that there would be further releases, unfortunantely the new fanbase that had heard the infamous Firestarter and Breath tracks did not seem to keen on The Prodigy showing where their musical roots originally layed when they were a little younger and showing off what music they liked off the stage. Sadly further releases had the plug pulled on them...
Look at this album as not another installment of The Prodigy, but one phatt mix that is original and an insight to Liam Howlett's love of all music taking in the likes of Chemical Brothers, Jane...

Advantages: Mixed By Anne Savage, this has to be an advantage! Disadvantages: Not as extreme as the other Euphoria albums, might not be fast enough for some ravers!
...Brilliant Album by Anne Savage, really worth buying. If your new to this scene its a good starter album because its not as extreme as Euphorias other albums. Cd 1 is by far the "calmer" of the 3 cd's, with mixes by BK, Vinylgroovers. Colin Barratt's remix of "The Future" is awesome.
Cd2 has a faster beat and euphoria start living up to their name by Cd 3! With beats like "Real Freaks" by the Tidy Girls, this is a real tune and also "lookin Good" by Lisa Lashes! Cd 3 has to be by far the best of the 3. I really like this album, especially Cd3 where things progress and get faster! Theres some big names and some big tunes! A Cd worth buying!...
