Bounce one time!Being a Hard Dance enthusiast for more than 12 years now has given me the wisdom to recognise a good track when I hear it. My main area of enthusiasm is in Happy Hardcore, and if anyone can deliver the beatz as swiftly and penatrating as required, it's the Next Generation and Blatant Beats posse.
This is the first commercial album promoting their much loved tracks in verious forms and remixes on the first CD such as Bang! - Break of Dawn and Shooting Star. The second CD sports their newer tracks upto cat. numbers NG025, NGLP015 and BB036 (12" cat numbers). At the time of the release of this album, half of these tracks were not available on 12" (but now they are! :-D)
Personally I think CD2 hits you the most and anyone into modern commercial dance would understand as it sports some quality remakes....
Track 2: Fade - Start The Party (Pink - Get The Party Started RIP) Track 3: Double Dutch (Brisk) - Here Comes The Noise (DJ Sammy - Heaven RIP) Track 6: Brisk & Fade - Stay Here Forever (N-Trance - Forever REMAKE) Track 16 - Supernova - Cheesy DJs (Madonna - Like a Prayer RIP) and many more.......
Finishing up on a couple of crazy gabber tracks (featuring Scott Brown of course) which are remakes of "Hold Me Now" and "Eyeopener" featured on NG025.
It flows, it gets you going with euphoric vocals and the all-familiar crunching electronic lead-acid-bass-kick beatz are abundant. Its Next Generation Records at their finest, no fans would be dissapointed.
However, if you collect the 12" vinyl as well as the CDs, you will notice that some of the tracks have been edited down to fit more on the album. This may annoy some who are used to the full-length versions, but it's usually the breakdowns they've cut out rather than the main tune so it's not too annoying.
Brisk and Fade (Fade now retired from Hardcore in his mid 20s!) have dominated the Next Generation label in this era with nu-skool style beatz and fantastic innovation, moving away from the oldskool cheesy style and into the new super-hard trance style (aka trancecore). For some this may not be their cup of tea, but to others who are into the latest Hard dance music, this is an album and a half to stomp to! Forget Killers & Keiser Chiefs! This summer, straight from the horses stable, you can garantee the finest beats in the UK from these boys!
The album is still available from www.nextgenerationrecords.co.uk and their second album is also out now sporting even more euphoric choonage! MP3 samples are on the website and you may find a few lurking around my website www.ravenstorm.co.uk
Happy summer clubbing!

Good review although i'm much more of a techno, house and electro kinda girl. For me hardcore shows no progression from the stuff from the early nineties; i prefer to listen to stuff that is progessing and pushing the boundaries a bit more. H.xo

This sounds like a super wkd album for a hardcore raver!! I must get a copy - I don't want to get stuck in the olden days of raving - although I am abit of a geriatric raver !!!
This is an excellent review, you have shed some light for me on which records to buy next !!
