My overwhelming thanks then to Robyn Scott (and publishers Bloomsbury) for restoring my faith. Twenty Chickens for a Saddle is subtitled "the Story of an African Childhood", but more than that it is the story of a recent and happy childhood. For that alone it would be worth the read.

Life has changed dramatically for Leona Lewis since she won the third X-Factor in 2006. To me, she seemed the favourite pretty much from the start as she can actually sing and has a star quality about her as they like to say on the show. What I do like about her though is that she has stayed very grounded and true to her roots and has not let fame go to her head which is nice.
