When I bought this album, I must admit it was an impulse buy which was based on me searching for another band. However, For the six months that I have had this album, it has consistently been in my most listened list. I think thats what is so good about this album; It is completely listenable. The way that there is a genre change almost every song is not uncomfortable but actually just adds to how easy this album is to listen to; it does not feel samey in anyway.

Most people will hear of Nightmare of You due to some of the members' earlier project, Glassjaw. I feel it very important to say that this album is completely different from Glassjaw. In fact I think what adds to the idea of just why Nightmare of You are so good is the fact that they have come from the alternative rock genre without the need to be emo. However, you can tell from their lyrical content that the members have been made up from bands that maybe do have more emo undertones, (rival schools, glassjaw etc).

The band have begun to tour with Fall Out Boy this year, but don't let that put you off. The fact is that this band is such a far cry from Fall Out Boy it is almost laughable. They have a maturity of lyric, and sound that could place them almost in the late 80s. I think it would be more reasonable to put them to tour with a more indie band as opposed to someone like Fall Out Boy; i'm not completely sure that they would share a fan base.

It seems a shame that this band aren't as successful as they undoubtedly should be but, when it is emo that is the prominent scene, this band are not particularly able to jump on the emo bandwagon. The only thing that I think is particularly good about this is that they will stand the test of time, as when the emo wagon has reached breaking point, Nightmare of You will still be standing there ready to pick up new fans.
