* Castrol Mile High Miles Club. . .

Advantages: Good for older engines.
Disadvantages: None really.

CASTROL HIGH MILES or MILE HIGH OIL! . This brand of oil reviewed here is known as Castrol High Mileage motor oil, it is non synthetic oil, or more commonly known as a traditional mineral based oil. There are no synthetic additives added. The viscosity of this oil is 15W-50 15 means the thickness of the oil in low temperatures, W means it complies with the requirements for winter conditions, and 50 means the thickness of the oil at high temperatures. This newer synthetic type oil may be more suited for newer engines, but the old mineral oil is best in engines over say ten years old, or 100,000 miles, although different engine makers recommend different things nowadays. Synthetic oil has become really popular, and has been in production for many years now. The old mineral oil still has it's place though, and this particular ...

Spiders everywhere

Advantages: Easy to look after, can stand some neglect, easy to propagate, cheap
Disadvantages: Feed at your peril

There are many suitable plants for indootrs which will last well, look good and possibly help the quality of the air in your home. One such plant is the spider plant. BACKGROUND Packing the down stairs of my house up a couple of weeks ago ready for some much needed, but equally much dreaded work, I carried all of my plants upstairs into the spare bedroom for safe keeping. I was amazed at just how many spider plants I have and the size of some of them. When my Mum died, back in 1975, I took her indoor plants home, as I knew she had really cherished them. To this day I would hate to throw a living plant away, even if I did not want it. I would have to find a corner or a home for it. Silly but then that's me. For many years after Mum died I still had her original Spider Plant although most ...

The Lime Tree Restaurant, Manchester

Advantages: The food is consistently excellent! Sticky toffee pudding is to die for mmm....
Disadvantages: The outside dining area could be better

The Lime Tree is an independent restaurant is situated in leafy West Didsbury in South Manchester. For those unfamiliar, Didsbury has a fairly foodie reputation and there are tonnes of restaurants, both chain and independents throughout the area. For as long as I can remember it is unofficially referred to "the best restaurant in Didsbury". It's certainly the first place I would think of to have a celebratory meal, perfect for when you just want that something special to mark an occasion. "The food" Having started out as French cuisine, nowadays the food is mainly modern British / brassiere style. Expect to pay between £3-£8 for starters, £11-£20 for mains and about £4 for deserts although they do serve Sunday lunch menus and early bird offers for lower prices (example price 3 courses for £15.95). Most of the mains are ...
