Advantages: The "best" of nick cave and the bad seeds, Cave's vocals, great songs, wonderful lyrics Disadvantages: Some "bad" songs
...Nick Cave and the Bad seeds put their best songs together on an album and this is what we end up with. A sixteen track CD, wich has songs dating right through their career together (almost). Cave got with the Bad seeds in 1984 and this album goes as far back as that an all the way upto 1997 (The boatmans call). The album takes songs from each of the albums in this time peroid (though as the inlay booklet confess, not in chronological order).
Cave and the bad seeds, have been described as being "Post-punk", "alt-rock" and "rock" all of these and more could be used to explain the bands sounds. Caves deep vocals as well as the musical arrangements which spand from simple to incredibly difficult, mixed with the dark and deep lyrics, allow this album to be a show case of Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds.
So the songs list from their rather...

Advantages: Consistent mean beat from start to finish. Tracks a good reflection of their own work. Disadvantages: Maybe track 3 doesnt quite fit in with the rest, but still its good!
...Got this CD a couple of years ago and wow, was I impressed! Peace Division have put together this superb mix CD that is the ultimate speaker blaster tool. They have slung together tracks similar in nature to their own releases. You have to play this one loud.
The first track "Decomposition - Earth Deuley" slowly builds itself up and is a great start to the mix. It begins with lyrics that make you feel that you are about to embark on a journey.
The third track "I Wanna Be" brings some melodic life to the mix.
"Downtown - EFF" has a subtle tribal element to it.
This CD contains some serious roll-your-sleeves-up deep, dark beats that certainly sound best at night. Well worth the money!...

Advantages: Some fun, catchy tracks, he co-wrote some of the tracks Disadvantages: Some tracks are a bit weak and unmemorable
...of the better songs on this album, in my opinion. This is quite a fun track which is more similar to track one and it is quite catchy. It has electric guitar and drums as well as some disc scratching. There is also what I guess you could call a slightly slow rap part to the song too. All in all, its a fun, bouncy teen rock/pop track that has fun lyrics about enjoying our youth and enjoying life, basically.
4 - Do I Have To Cry For You - This is the first of the ballads, or ballad-esque, tracks on this album and it starts with a piano playing a soft tune in the background. It is pretty slow, though it does build up a bit during the middle of the song and it is mainly vocal based, though it does have a rock edge to it, with Nicks raspy voice making it more power ballad material. There is a music video for this song and it was an unofficial single...
