No.1 Trance Classics Album, The - Various Artists

Advantages: Great new styles, not afraid of trying new trance techniques, good lengthed songs
Disadvantages: Not many well known songs remixed, lyrics are always the chorus of the song repeated

...This album shows just how much Armin is capable of. A State of Trance 2007 features 28 long trance tracks, ranging from 2 minutes to 8 minutes (Most around 6) that flow into eachother. Armin has used various techniques that other trance music creators have not tried yet, such as bit-crunching, and has achieved the desired effect. I have really enjoyed this album, and have listened to it for 3 months now, without being bored of it. One of my favourite aspects of this album is the use of drums, he has used different samples to make his music provide the 'rushing' feeling to it's listener that most trance artists cannot achieve. This album is well worth it's price, as it has over 1 and a half hours of tracks inside, that you will not get bored of. Advantages: Good trance CD, Good compliation of industry standard tracks
Disadvantages: Not everyones cup of tea.

...From the point of view of a music lover and a part time dj: I love trance and house, being a part time wanna be superstar dj, i love this sort of music, CD1 continas some of the older classic trance fomr back in the day as well as some puire legendary tunes. A few to look out for are : Blank and jones - Catch DT8 Project - Narama Perasma - Swing to harmony Some of the tracks on Forever are not on the other gatecrasher cds. However there are come that have been copied over again. I love this CD it is really uplifting and chilled as well as having its darker heavier trance moments. Favourite disc of the three has to be disc 2. Love this cd a must for dance music lovers across all ages.... Read review

Advantages: 3 discs of good quality tunes
Disadvantages: Not very different to other compilations

...And who said that the ministry of sound had lost it? You were most definitely wrong! Wow this album did blow me away, disc 1 especially with its amazing house beats, it is fantastic, tune by tune it makes you move guaranteed. Disc 2 follows up with the classic house/trance of our time looking a Moloko with Bring it Back and ii0 with Rapture, Junior Jack with the famous Esamba and Layo & Bushwack with Love Story. Disc 3 then comes in with some, new, old and more euphoric underground stuff. I would say that this whole compilation of 3 discs is one of the ministry's best ever!!! Buy thi CD people, now! You will not be disappointed, this is the commercial scene at its best.... Read review
