With all the furore about when the European Union have too much control over the United Kingdom's laws and products, it's always a shame when the Europeans spot something really great that belongs to us, but they get to enjoy it as we don't want it any more and have thrown it out. Lucie Silvas is one such thing; there's no reason why the British shouldn't like her music, having embraced the likes of Delta Goodrem and having voted en masse for Leona Lewis to win the last series of "The X Factor", but we've let her go. Her official debut album is the perfect indication of this. Released in 2004, "Breathe In" produced two Top 10 singles and became a Top 20 album. Deep breath!

Advantages: Chills you
Disadvantages: none - :o)

done' but I have listened to it over and over without getting tired. It is gentle, beautiful and inspiring. Without You - Track Seven. Another catchy track with a lovely salsa feel almost. Again the piano is there in the background but this time accompanied by violins, drums and an array of other instruments. What You're Made of - Track Eight. A slow and serious sounding start leads the listener into a powerful love song. A good one to sing to! Twistin' the chain - Track Nine. A guitar grabs you and takes you into this track. Like many of Lucy's songs people can relate to this one. It's a good contender for a single in my opnion. Nice harmonies. No Defence - Track Ten. Adequate Seven are no longer Here On Earth

Advantages: A number of highly infectious, incredibly catchy songs
Disadvantages: The tracks don't sound as good on CD as they did live

Adequate Seven were a UK band that use to often get misplaced in the genre bracket of 'Skacore', however their sound was always far more than this in truth; bridging the divide between Funk and Hardcore, fusing the two in order to produce their own unique brand of music. I feel that the band were always at their best when they opted to show off their more Hardcore side, however the band do this less so on their second album 'Here On Earth' in favour of exploring their funkier nature. Unfortunately in the December of 2006, having been around for 6 years and after playing over 500 gigs the band decided to call it a day. This was a great loss for UK music as Adequate Seven were an exceptional live band; however their music still lives on today through the records that they released.
