...notice about the album is the title and front image. The album is called "Heavy petting zoo" and the front cover shows a painting of a barn with some sheep outside. The most noticable thing on the cover is the man in the fromt left, taking up around half the cover, who is "Heavily petting" a sheep. If you know what i mean. (If not, i would look for yourself, lol)
When you get inside the booklet all of the lyrics are in it. However, they are all written on various people/objects which have then been photographed, making some quite hard to read. But after a few listens you will already have a rough idea and they will be clear.
Finally, the message on the back of the booklet is rather.......angry. Instead of the usual "thanks" notes NoFX have a "No thanx" section which reads as follows....

Advantages: Another great album from a great band Disadvantages: Nothing new if you're bored with anti George Bush regime
...Ok, the latest release from experienced 4 piece punk rockers NoFX. First of all i just want to say, i think its great to see a punk rock band whos been goin since 1984 and have never really sold out and who still manage to churn out fantastic albums like this.
The songs are pretty varied, don't be suprised to learn that not EVERY track on this album is political, although admitidly most are, i think tracks like "She's Nubs" and "Seperation of church and skate" give the album a more comic and questionable variation respectively. For example "She's Nubs" tells a story about dating a limbless disabled girl whilst "Seperation of church and skate" questions the modern day "punk" scene.
As you can tell from the album cover, this cd contains a lot of anti Bush and anti government songs which damages the originality slightly, however i...

Advantages: Lots of tracks ranging through the years. Disadvantages: not all the greats
...I bought this album for myself when Elvis was coming back into fashion with the general masses when the single "A little less conversation" was released. You would think the title of the album being 30 No. 1's all the classics would be on there but i was sadly mistaken. Its funny to not find certain songs on there that you would definetly think were hits.
The cd is accompanied by a inner booklet that gives track listings and a small explanation about when each song was released and what era,who wrote them etc. At the back you have a section by which you can order Elvis merchandise. You can even apply for an Elvis credit card!!!
All the songs on the album are good but to get a better idea of how good Elvis really was you need to delve further than just a best of album. Maybe this album would suit someone who just wanted a brief...
