Hayseed Dixie - CD "Weapons Of Grass Destruction"

Advantages: Energetic, Original, Fast, Uplifting, Technically excellent music
Disadvantages: Some of their own work not as good as the covers.

I first heard this amazing group on TV (Glastonbury '05) when they played an amazing cover of Motorhead's "Ace Of Spades" Let me first just start by saying that before I heard this band I was quite narrow-minded about 'bluegrass' music but these guys take it to another level - and some. Hayseed Dixie (pronounced AC/DC) are mainly renowed for their cover songs of rock bands,and this album (Weapons Of Grass Destruction)is no exception, This album features 15 tracks (5 of which are their own tracks) The rest are mind-blowing covers that are techniaclly excellent the speed in which these guys play their banjos, guitars, violins & bluergrass mandolins is literally jaw-dropping. Advantages: Some great country-pop tracks
Disadvantages: Maybe too pop for country fans and too country for bubblegum pop fans
