Advantages: May be good value for money at 70 tracks across 2 CDs Disadvantages: Melody clashes, bad mixing
and relax. The disc picks back up with Mylo's 'Drop The Pressure' melody with DT8's 'Winter' vocal as the two seem to gel together pretty effectively. The mood is then smashed to smithereens with the hideous bastardization of 'Drop The Pressure' and what I can only assume to be Commander Tom's 'Attention'. There is just TOO much going on at once, not helped by the fact this is then mixed into a cringeworthy melody clashing WayneWonder 'NoHoldingBack' acappella (which is bad enough on its own).
Ministry Of Sound take note - Michael Jackson 'Billie Jean' vocals have no place on a 'dance' compilation in 2005. Ditto for 'Whoomp! There It Is' (which sounds like a bunch of pissed beerboys in the local 'club')

Album Notes
Personnel: Wayne Wonder, Supriz, Demo Delgado, Showki Ru, Elephant Man (vocals); Dalton Browne (guitar); Gordon "G-Man" Dukes (keyboards, background vocals); Steven "Lenky" Marsden, Daseka (keyboards); Paul "Teetimus" Edmund (drums). Producers include: Steven "Lenky" Marsden, Von Wayne Charles, Joel Chin, Donovan "Don" Bennett, Tony "CD" Kelly. Encompassing hip-hop, dancehall, and straight-ahead R&B, Wayne Wonder's fifth album may be both his most eclectic record and his biggest-selling. With a delicate, high tenor slightly reminiscent of Horace Andy, the Jamaican native brings his considerable experience to bear on a variety of U.S. and Jamaican R&B styles. Delicate synth motifs feature heavily throughout NO HOLDING BACK, and the Caribbean rhythms have an uncharacteristic lightness of touch that'll keep you coming back for more. While Wonder might not be a showboating singer, he's savvy enough to plant catchy little booby traps such as the slyly sexy "No Letting Go" and the satin-lined "Friend Like Me" at strategic points in this collection. And the perky dancehall vibe of "Nobody But Me" proves he's not just a smooth-talking love man--he can walk the walk, too.

Vibe (4/03, p.174) - 4 discs out of 5 - "...18 new songs range from state-of-the-art dancehall...to several plausible R&B pop songs..."
