Advantages: slightly watchable Disadvantages: Does not compare to the original
My husband bought me this dvd for Christmas shortly after its release and I was so over excited on unwrapping it. I loved the original dirty dancing and would vote it my no. 1 film of all time and the only film I've watched probably more than 10 times.
This film is a prequel taking place several years before dirty dancing was set but it does not marry this story with the later Dirty Dancing in anyway, although the large Dirty Dancing 2 across the front of the DVD implies that it does. The back of the dvd claims "He's going to show her the time of her life" another reference to the original.

I do believe I am quite accommodating as regards toys, and have absolutely no problem with having multitudinous Barbie inspired things invading our space. however, these are not worth the money.
We did exactly as told on the little instruction booklet, and indeed did it with all three of them. Batteries were inserted, foot placed in hole, button pressed.

, who's goal is to become a doctor. He's cocky, arogant, smart, handsome,caring, loves dancing and black.
But it's Derek's sister Chenille that befriend's Sara. Being a young single mum, Chenille has a maternal instinct to protect Sara and introduce her to this new life.
Learning about Sara's dancing and seeing her struggle to fit in at school, Chenille invite's Sara to go to the local Hip Hop club Steps.
Steps is the place to be. With Slammin tunes and a throbbing dance floor, "it aint no square dance!". It's there, on the dance floor, that the sparks between Derek and Sara begin to fly. But their dance is interuppted by a fight. In which Derek jumps in to aid his childhood friend Malakai.
Malakai, is trouble with a capital T. Fresh out of juvenille prison and into drivebys and drugs.
With the night out cut short ...
