Simple Plan are close chums with the likes of Good Charlotte and Blink 182, you've probably got a fair idea of the sound their debut albumNo Pad, No Helmets... Just Ballsis pawing at. Mind you, judging by song titles like "I'm Just a Kid", "The Worst Day Ever" and "God Must Hate Me", it's quickly clear these Canadian pop-punkers are writing their songs for a younger demographic still. Ignore the bikini-clad babes that festoon the sleeve—there are none of Blink 182's smutty double-entendres here: frontman Pierre Bouvier's lyrical concerns include bunking off school, crashing your dad's car and lusting boyishly over girls that don't even know you exist. "Every day", he sobs melodramatically, "is the worst day ever." Mind you, the music itself is far from glum. "I'd Do Anything" is a beaming, Green Day-style Cali-punk chugger with all the zits and blemishes airbrushed out, while "When I'm with You" is a candy-sweet tale of obsession and heartbreak with a power-punk dynamic that has far more in common with the Go-Gos or the Primitives than, say, Rancid. Seasoned punk fans will be put off by the excessive juvenilia, but the new wave should lap this up.-- Louis Pattison

Remembering that these guys were just kids when they wrote this it may be too bouncy and immature for some of you but being just 15 myself I ... ...happy, there are some more mellow, meaningful tracks...the transition between their first and second albums. These include Meet You There, a very emotional track that anyone can relate to and anyone can enjoy and Perfect, another song we can all relate to as at times everyone feels like they don't meet their parents 'standards'. Advantages: amazing Disadvantages: defined taste
This is an amazing cd to listen to because each song is upbeat. Although the lyrics could be childish as times, the punk rock element in the music always cheers me up. I got this album for a present but can be brought at around £8.99. The inlay of this album is simple with bright colours showing the band having a good party. All the lyrics are included as well. This album is definitely recommended as it brings out the teenager in everyone`. Besides ... ...few music videos for avid fans of simple plan. The track list is I'd Do Anything

Advantages: good to listen too Disadvantages: not enough songs on cd
I discovered these guys buy chance when watching Kerrang one day and from that moment i was hooked, later i realised they did some scooby doo songs and realised that why i knew there songs when i hadn't even heard of them before.

The songs are of the Punk/Punk Rovk genre and have very throught provoking lyrics (at least i thought so) always a good album to listen too whilst doing a workout or school work ...
