All About Me
For my 100th review with Ciao, I thought I'd do something different and after considering various options and ideas, decided to write this piece. I hope readers won't be too bored with the ramblings of a middle aged reviewer!!
In The Beginning
I was born in Folkestone, Kent on 19th June 1958, my Ciao name, Brittle1906 reflects my birth date, so no surprises there!
I was an only child, but have a large extended family of cousins and aunts, my youngest aunt is only 6 years older than me, so although I was an 'only' I was rarely lonely as a child. My parents both worked for the Post Office full time, so I spent much of my early life with my grandmother and my aunts, giving me the best of both worlds, an only child at home and the youngest of a large family at grandma's.

All for one.
Another book by Jill Murphy, who over the years has been quite a prolific children's story book writer
This one focuses on friendships, and is a great book to read to children who might be going through problems with friends, and who may feel they are being left out of things.
THE STORY AND ILLUSTRATIONS.
The story begins with Marlon, who is a dragon, and also the main character in the story, running out of things to do. He had done all of his favourite things, like drawing and making secret caves, and goes to his granny to say that he wished he had someone to play with. Granny and mum get him to tidy up his mess,and he goes outside where he finds his friends hitting each other with swords. They are playing the Three Muskateers and when Marlon asks if h can join in, they won't let him, because there are of course ...
Advantages: Fun to read humorous story with an element of real life to it! Disadvantages: None

*I thought that I would review this children's book, as a tribute to all those parents who understand just how difficult it is, to get ready for a rare night out.*

Well, this is another in a series of books about the Large family - a family of elephants and the evening when Mr and Mrs. Large get to venture out, to the office-dinner dance.
