Dancing The Decades, Ministry Of Sound Style

Advantages: Classic dance music from the best of the best!
Disadvantages: Already have a lot of this music on CD so a bit of a waste of money

What Is It? The Ministry of Sound 'Anthems 1991- 2008' is a CD set which is a mixture of the best dance songs, mixed by the Ministry of Sound, over the last 17 years. This is a 3 CD box set which contains 63 famous dance anthems of the last 2 decades. Why Buy It I bought this as I have always been a huge fan of the Ministry of Sound. I am not old enough to have heard the stuff before around 2000 as I only got into dance music in the last 5 years and am only 15 so it adds up. Anyway I had heard a lot of the material on this CD on the radio and really enjoyed it, but I wanted now to be able to listen to it in the space of my own home on my i-pod of CD player. Also the adverts on TV as well, they really intrigued me and after listening to the snippets of songs. It made me want to listen to dance music and the advert had ...

We Invented The Remix - Various Artists

Advantages: Some good remixes and the price
Disadvantages: Not many, some fillers but i suppose you get that with every album

A Girl Part 1 - Usher, Loon & P Diddy. Great chorus and catchy lyrics from usher, definately one for the ladies but a really popular tune. Unfoolish - Ashanti & Notorious BIG. Loads of radio play this one, mixing Biggies old tune, i think the video got more airplay than the original and another cult classic Dance With Me/Peaches And Cream - 112, Ludacris & Beanie Segal. Great mix with the two best tunes from the 112 album. Great r&b club tracks and more cult classics No More Drama - Mary J Blige. Compared to what has come before on this album, the Mary track falls just short. Its a mid tempo track which is just middle of the road So complete - Cherri Dennis. I can basically repeat the same as above, not really much going on Notorious - Lil Kim, Notorious BIG & P Diddy. Nowhere near the original in my opinion but my brother loves it ...

The sound of a revolution

Advantages: Great sound, sturdy, easy to use
Disadvantages: Only runs off mains power

Before I got my iPod and sounddock, I was one of those who refuses to subscribe to the technological revolution. Prefering hi-fi and compact disc to the digital music phenomenon. However, within a week (once I'd worked out how to use it), I was hooked on my iPod and once I got the sound-dock, there was no turning back. I think it's fairly safe to say that the era of compact disc players and tape decks is over... The only reason I still have a normal cd player in my house is to listen to the radio, and those few albums that I just haven't got around to putting on my iPod yet. The Bose sound-dock is a piece of mastery in the area of audio technology. Beautiful, sleek and streamlined; it's large frontal speaker provides both volume and sound quality. The music I play on the sound-dock sounds almost incomparably better than CDs ...
