...dolls going over the zebra crossing at Abbey Road. It's quite funny. The inlay card has lyrics and credits. This is quite an enduring album and is probably notorious for containing "Back For Good" and "Never Forget" as well as being the album which broke the back of the TT machine. The band were still better than the literally 100s of groups they inspired and it's a shame there wasn't a proper swansong. Robbie apparently did want to do a charity gig at one time but he was rejected, it would seem. ...I'm not sure exactly why I bought this album, to be honest. I'd heard the first single, "A Thousand Miles" on one of the music channels, and it seemed OK, but nothing that was going to make me rush out and buy the album. I'd read a couple of opinions on the album, which made it sound pretty good, but not the sort of thing that a fan of 1980's and -90's rock music would want to dash out and buy immediately. So, what did I do? I bought it immediately! It wasn’t really an intentional purchase. I was at work one Saturday and, as usual, had forgotten to take any music to listen to. So when I went to the little Sainsbury’s for lunch, and saw this CD for only £9.99, I thought I’d take a chance on it. Especially as staff discount brought it down to £8.99. ...This version on Nobody wants to be lonley is a poped up version of the ballad from the Ricky Martin album Sound Loaded. The original version is a beatiful ballad. Christina adds nothing to this song, and sings more back up vocals than anything. Poping up the song wasn't a bad idea as the original is pritty down beat and would definaltly lead to depresion if you had just been dumped. This version is more upbeat with a fatser tempo and is still quite a nice song dispite Miss Aguileras input. The B side: The second song on the single 'Solo Quiero Amorte' (nobody wants to be lonley) is the spanish language version of the same song and a direct translation of the original version. Being a true and obsesed Ricky Martin fan I would say that this track is what made forking out £3 for the single worth while as this version... Read review
