Anastacia ‘the Girl with the voice’ is a new girl on the scene with her debut album, Not That Kind. Anastacia has become a female artist due to her voice which sounds like to me a, a white person with a coloured persons voice. Some say it’s annoying but I think it’s a very different voice, which is what most produces are looking for and anyway she a big hit in the UK. Her debut single I’m Outta Love went straight to number three. Anastacia being a big fan of Elton John always wears different glasses like he did but with a bit more style. Her album has reached number two in the UK charts and looks like it’s going to reach number one.
1) – NOT THAT KIND – Her second single of the album which only went to number eleven, but a very catchy tune. Showing us that she’s Not That Kind of female singing but a different kind of girl, which she has proven. 8/10
2) – I’M OUTTA LOVE – Her stunning debut single that went to number three made her very famous everywhere. It’s a very upbeat song which has got most people on the dance floor. This is one of the songs that shows her vocals off really well. 10/10
3) – COWBOYS & KISSES – A very country and western tune, slow and smooth. This song pulls away from the pop tune that really suits her voice. All about a love in her life this could easily be a single. 9/10
4) – WHO’S GONNA STOP THE RAIN – A very slow start which builds up to a dramatic end. This sounds like another country and western song but with a pop sound at the same time. A very powerful song that has a deep meaning with Anastacia using her vocals superbly. 8/10
5) – LOVE IS ALIVE – A very modern song with a very hard guitar sound. This is a song all about her finding out what love is. A definite Anastacia song which suits her voice perfectly. Could be another single? 9/10
6) – I ASK OF YOU – A very slow song with Anastacia’s voice sounding different in the beginning as it is very smooth and soft. This has a very deep meaning which I’ll leave to you to decide. Definitely a smoochy song, which will get you dancing with a partner. 10/10
7) – WHISHING WELL – Sounds like Desree’s song ‘Life’ but with more acoustic guitars. Not the best song on the album, not sure what this song means but an easy listening track. What can I say she has excellent vocals in this song! 7/10
8) – MADE FOR LOVIN’ YOU – A real R&B cross between Pop track with modern noises. Another real Anastacia song due to her vocals. She really has her own sound which this far through the album is distinctive. 8/10
9) – BLACK ROSES – Starts of with synthesizers that suddenly change into big base beats with a funky tune. A very classy tune with a chance that this could again be single. 8/10
10) - YO TRIPPIN’ – A very modern song which has slag title. This has a very strange tune but is really catchy and will get anyone in the dancing mood. Funny people talking in the background that sounds like as if she’s singing in a club and people are singing with her. 9/10
11) - ONE MORE TIME – This is one of my favourite songs, which is a very slow and has a real meaning. It’s all about someone asking for another chance because the have done something wrong in the relationship. She is in top form with her vocals and I really hope that this becomes a single! 10/10
12) - SAME OLD STORY – A good way of finishing the album with an up-tempo track which is really catchy in the words and tune. An easy listening track which is pure pop.

Advantages: Is cheaper to buy the album than just the cd singles of the released tracks. Disadvantages: the released tracks are the only decent songs on the album
