Advantages: May be the best contemporary white female blues singer and acoustic guitarist you'll ever hear. Disadvantages: None
...roots via the traditional music record label Rounder Records, and from then until now Block has recorded more than a dozen blues albums.
In 1995 her album When a Woman Gets the Blues won the W. C. Handy Award for Best Acoustic Blues Album of the Year, and she was selected by the Martin Guitar Co. to endorse their strings in a national ad campaign. In 1998 she won the W. C.
