Now Dance '93 - The Best Of Now Dance - Various Artists

...I love this CD. The songs may be over five years old now, but I think that they stand the test of time (in my lifetime anyway). The songs released nowadays under the "dance" genre all sound the same with no originality and are all about the same sort of stuff. I'll start off talking about CD One. There is a range of different artists on here including Kylie Minogue, Justin Timberlake, Kelis, Blue, Atomic Kitten & Jamelia. I like how not all of the songs have been remixed and edited, and how most of the songs by the artists are the "originials". I don't like MC Jig's version of the Cha Cha Slide. It lacks the bounciness DJ Casper's had, and it doesn't feel right to try and do the Cha Cha Slide to it either. All in all, the first CD is good but not my favourite. I love CD Two!! ...Now Dance 2001 contains 43 of the best tracks of pure dance music. This album features big names such as Spiller, Architechs, Bomfunk Mc's and alot more. This album is guaranteed to suit everybody, from 'Rock DJ' to 'It's my turn', 'Groovejet' to 'It feels so good'. This album can be brought at the price of £14.99 or less if you hunt around for a bargin. The album also features some remixes of songs such as the Architech's 'Bodygroove' song. This album will not be for everyone but people who like general pop and a bit of dance with it, will appreciate it. ...When Now Dance 2000 was released a little over a year ago, I was immediately interested. I knew that the quality of the Now compilations was certainly above average to say the least, and as dance was and is one of my favourite genres of music, it caught my attention almost straight away. After receiving the album for Christmas 1999, I can say that it is one of the best, if not the best compilation album I have ever got. It is vibrant and energetic, and contains so many of the best hits of that year that it really is a must-have. And this one beats it. Now Dance 2001 contains 43 of the best tracks of pure dance from the year 2000 (ironically) across 2 Discs, and features big names such as Bomfunk MC's, Robbie Williams, Sonique and more!
