1. Shine on my way
It's the best opening track I could possibly imagine for this album, as 'Shine on my way' distinguishes itself through Patrice's brilliant voice already at the very beginning. It's a very quiet song with a gospel choir in the background and Patrice is really showing his talents as the only accompaniment is a pan pipe and some gentle stringers now and then. - 5/5
2. Everyday good
No matter how you feel, angry, sad or just bad-tempered - when listening to 'Everyday Good' you'll be left no choice but to feel happy. It is another Patrice song that gets by with very little instruments. Basically, all you hear is some bass, guitar and drums...

Advantages: Great depth Disadvantages: Short tracks
.... Chantay Savage)
I was suprised to hear a eulogy towards a close, deceased friend of Common sound so good, as Common doesn't let his friend Sef go quiely, he alongside Ynot (the producer) brings something big by using a couple of funky samples in "Reminding Me" by PatriceRushen, and "Mellow Mellow Right On" by Lowrell, just so we aren't brought down too, as he would prefer to celebrate his life, rather than dwell on his death.
Here Common talks us through the many happy times he has had with his friend, and forces you to feel happy rather than sympathetic towards him, and I feel that this was how he wanted to do it, and keep us excited as you are told about what they got up to together.
**Five Stars**

.... What can I say? The song that gets played at nearly every wedding and birthday party to see who is game enough to get down on the floor and hitch their skirt up and wrap your legs around the person in front of you. Been there, done that. What a giggle. `Oops upside your head, say oops upside your head`
4) PatriceRushen – Forget Me Nots. Released in 1982. Catchy little number. But never heard of her again after this one.
5) Indeep – Last Night A D.J Save My Life. Released in 1982. Another fab hit. Background sound (phone ringing etc). `Last night a DJ saved my life, last night a DJ saved my life from a broken heart`.
6) Shalamar – I Can Make You Feel Good. Release in 1982. I`ll admit that I went out and brought their album. Lots of good hit records and hung around for a few years. This album still sounds good today and brings back...
