Now 49 is the latest from the now collection. It contains the best songs from the current charts onto one double album. With a high amount of no1 songs on this album there is a great range of songs to listen to. There are 41 songs on the album.

Robbie Williams – Eternity – This is a ballad, which went straight into no1. It is about a summer romance, which he wants to always remember, even though it is over. I love this song as it is so sweet and a great love song. It is one of his best songs to date and will be on his new album when it is released.

Atomic Kitten – Eternal Flame – This is a cover version of an 80’s Bangles song. I remember this song when I was little and there are not many changes to the original. It is a powerful ballad, which took them to no1. The only changes are one member whispering call my name at the beginning.

S Club 7 – Don’t Stop Movin’ – This disco song gets everyone up dancing. It has this atmosphere to it that brightens everything up. Brilliant to dance and sing along with. When it was in the chart it went in at no1, went down to no2 then back up to no1. That is not often done but this song just couldn’t be moved from the charts.

Geri Halliwell – Raining men – this cover version of the weather girls hit song was in the movie Bridget Jones movie. This is not as good as the original song as she seems to emphasis the wrong parts. Its probably just me though as after I saw her perform this on tv with this stupid expression on her face during those parts I just keep seeing that. The song will always be a classic though which, makes everyone get up and dance to and sing on karoke.

Hearsay – The way to your love- this is their second song, which reached the top of the charts. They received fame very quickly due to the popstars show and didn’t have to work for it like the over groups around. The song itself I like as it is a lovely slow song although there is a slow version and a fast version of it. However when they performed in Cardiff it didn’t go down well as they had eggs thrown at them. Which is strange as Noel is from Cardiff.

Eddy Grant –Electric Avenue – he re-released this song which went to the top of the charts. It is a combination of chart and reggae, which has an electric type, beat through it all.

DJ Piper – Do you really like it- no I don’t like it, I hate it. This song drove me insane with everyone going round shouting that out when they were drunk. It was the same as wassup. It is a garage/house type song, which wasn’t singing at all just talking. I like my songs to be sung and have proper lyrics, which this does not.

Steps – here and now – I love all the steps songs and this is no exception. It is a love song with a good beat to it and great to sing along to.

Other songs are:- Gabrielle – out of reach
- Blue – all rise
- Ronan Keating – loving each day
- Stereophonics – have a nice day
- Wheatus – teenage dirtbag
- Blink182 – elavation
- Outkast – Ms Jackson
- Destiny’s Child – survivor
- Backstreet Boys – more than that
- Britney Spears – don’t let me be the last to know
- Marti Pellow – close to you
- Dido – thank you
- Zero 7- destiny
- Radiohead –pyramid song
- Gorillaz – 19-2000
- Mis-teeq – all I want
- Roger Sanchez – another chance
- Basement Jaxx – Romeo
- Da Hool – meet her at the love parade
- Ian van Dahl – castles in the sky
- Fragma – you are alive
- A*Teens – upside down
- Bellefire – perfect bliss
- Texas – I don’t want a lover
- Janet Jackson – all for you
- Eve – who’s that girl
- Sisqo – dance for me
- Aaron Soul – ring, ring, ring
- Damage – so what if I
- Melanie B – lullaby

Overall this album has a great chose of top songs, which will have you all up dancing, and is great for easy listening.
It retails at £14.99 in the shops but it can be found on the www.cdwow.com for about £12.99. If you are interested in any more information they have a website. www.now49.com.

Nice op. I've got all trhe Now series upto 13 when the bad songs started to out-weigh the good, or maybe my musical tastes changed! Still a helpful review nonetheless.
