For as long as I can recall I have been purchasing tape casette's and CD's from the 'Now That's What I Call Music' series, and must have about 25-30 different albums now.

But for the first time in my life I have purchased a new 'Now' album and found myself to be thoroughly disappointed. I have listed the tracks below and as you can see there are some very good tunes there. As always, the 'Now' team have endeavoured to furnish their listeners with a broad cross section of music genre's, and with great success they have achieved this goal.

However, on previous editions they have only selected the very best and most popular tunes from each genre. On this double CD, they appear to have selected the first tune that came into their heads as so many excellent tunes from 2006/7 have been left out.

The cover design, as always, is not lacking. It's nice and colourful and aesthetically pleasing. The design of the case itself is a standard double CD holder.

This CD is probably still one of the better options available on the market and despite the fact that I personally regard this to be a letdown this time around, it still outstrips its competition in the market.

It is good value for money, but if I had checked the track list carefully before buying instead of blindly throwing my money across the counter I would have saved quite a lot of money by simply paying to download the tracks I like from the internet.
