Escape (Over Two Hours Of Pure Chillout) - Various Artists

Advantages: Helps relax and unwind.....
Disadvantages: May already own a lot of the songs.....

.... Not a fan of the oboe myself particually, so as not really chillout and ruining the 'mood' ....skip..... 17 ~ The Blue Planet ~ The BBC Concert Orchestra Does it end better? Well yes... Still a bit much to be chillout, too dramatic to be relaxing, but quite pleasant. The two Disc's link nicely together I think, partly due to the fact that several arists are on both disc... so they sort of flow together as apposed to being two seperate cd's. It does in fact say on the back of the case, right at the bottom ' This album is designed to be played continuosly' ~~~~~ So what do I think of this? ~~~~~ Well, I was pleasantly suprised I have to say. Much better than alot of chilout compilations I have heard over the years... As it is generally a good mix of well chosen tunes. Although I do have to comment that they are all old songs... ...anytime really whether you're burning food in the kitchen, or trying to finish off an assignment two hours before handing in! (yes unfortunately I'm a student!) The perfect time to put this album on is when your relaxing in a long hot bath (think candles, pure pampering!). Listen to the sequel, it's even better!... Read review

...This album is sooooooo gooood!!! Everyone should own a copy of this! It is the best blend of part chillout music and part dancey kind of stuff I have ever heard! Kruder & Dorfmeister are gods with the delivery of this album. The tracks are all songs that are by other groups, or people remixed by K&D at different stages. The best song on here is the Bomb the Bass, 'Bug Power Dust' which the K&D remix was recently included on the Back To Mine by Faithless cd (Oct 2000). CD1 does have distinct higher quality over CD2 but then with CD1 providing SO much it was inevitable. If you like this you should also check out the K&D remix of Madonnas Nothing Really Matters which is soooo good, it should of been on Ray of Light instead of the original! Also Dorfmeister's Tosca work is very good, and the recent Kruder Peace Orchestra effort... Read review
