Advantages: When it boils down to it, all the tracks are the same music style. They do have a crack at a slower song, but it doesn't work very well because of their drumming style. Disadvantages: Grates far too quickly and little variety.
...Hanson are the three American youths who took the pop charts by storm in summer 1997 with MMMBop, a number 1 smash in the UK (probably because there wasn't anything else worth buying at this point in the UK Music charts. :-)).
The album sold well, though it didn't help they released it twice with a different inlay and different imprint on the CD. So if you've got the one with the Orange CD and front inlay, that's the (nicer) one designed for the American market and the more coloured one is for the UK. Bit of a joke, the UK cover actually, as its boring and doesn't stand out on the shelf as much as the orange inlayed one did.
Now on the Middle of Nowhere album lurks their hits MMMBop and the other three they released. As well, you get a bonus CD track, the Man from Milwaukee (it's hidden on the CD because the actual track number...

Advantages: A very Rasmus-esque album so if you like Rasmus it's awesome Disadvantages: Occasionly similar to some of their other stuff
...but reproducing a track that was masterfully produced would never work. The track itself is flowing with powerful chords and a god drum beat.
3. No Fear
I was expecting something slightly closer to pop than rock for this one as 'In The Shadows', and to be honest it is. Slightly higher pitched tunes but still nothing to complain about except some strange noises in the background of the verses, it fits but isn't essential and might annoy some people.
4. Lucifer's Angel
An eerie synth leads in to the track with a cymballed drum beat, different from the Prodigy-like riffs that ave conquered the tracks in 'Hide From The Sun'' so far. Then a solid guitar chord sequence and wailing from the lead singer escalates before crashing down into the tuneful but calm verse. The chorus contains a really punchy air guitar that's probably very good live. I really...

Advantages: Great, melodic rock music Disadvantages: A bit preachy
..."Emo", eh? Much derided as a form of rock music and often with god reason, this is often considered to be a genre for whiney, self-pitying teens who think "no one understands them". Still, although there are plenty of whiny, self-pitying and over the top bands for the whiny, self-pitying and over the top teens to wallow in, like pretty much every genre there are nevertheless bands that are well worth listening to. Further Seems Forever are one such band.
This, their final album before they split up a couple of years ago, is becoming one of my favourites- despite the humdrum Christian-leaning lyrics and somewhat heartstrung moods that permeate each track. I'm afraid this is what you get with a lot of emo bands, but "Hide Nothing" more than makes up for that with some truly gorgeous hooks and choruses and a fine sense of melody...
