Nu-Made (Remixes And Videos/+DVD) [Digipak] - Balkan Beat Box

Advantages: One of the best Nu Metal albums that has ever been released.
Disadvantages: It is imperfect, there was definitely room for improvement.

...there are a number of brilliant tracks that the band have to offer us. The album begins well with the track '742617000027' and from here on in it is just one full on assault from the band as they smash their way through this album with great venom and fury. The music is fast and frantic, the drum beats are always excellent, but the vocals are at times really quite laughable. Those not in the know always seem to see Slipknot as quite an extreme band, but in truth this is not really the case at all. Their music combines elements of alternative metal, rap metal, and hip-hop, sometimes to disastrous effect and other times the music that is created is absolutely excellent. 'Wait and Bleed' is without doubt my favourite track from this album, it is an absolutely excellent display of Nu Metal from Slipknot and is one track from this release that never fails... ...Their folky-punky sound is very distinctive - traditional Irish folk with influences from the English punk movement (they blend folk, rock, punk and indie for a unique sound that is truly that of the Pogues and the Pogues alone). The box set contains 110 songs. This is more than just a "best of" box set - in fact: this is no "best of" box set - this is the history. It`s made up of demos, live tracks and hard to find stuff (peel sessions, remixes) - all of this an ideal synopsis of their work. All in all this is essential for any Pogues fan, and of course highly recommended for any music fan - especially so if Irish Folk music is your liking. Just buy it ... and enjoy ...... Read review

Advantages: The lyrics, vocals and production rocks!

...one regggae song then this is pretty much the same but nevertheless cool. 75% 8. Pump That Best song!!! Another cheerleading anthem but this time it's meant for a club. Proper dance tune and you know it. The hottest beat gives way to stunning vocals from teh three Brooklyn girls who show considerable maturity with their second release. 98% 9. NuNu (yeah yeah) Suffers badly from a superb remix. The remix overshadows the orginal slow song that never seems to get it strated instead preferring to lay around obscure mid-tempo s***! 45% 10. Do My Rap Interlude. Once again cute and helps to inject some personality into the album. Does its job well. 53% 11. Twisted Great song. Sees "Fannypack" returning to the same vibe as with their first effort "So Stylistic". Etchy and fresh as hell. 87% 12. You Gotta Know Great song. Same vibe as above... Read review
