As a great admirer of Michael Jackson's music, I thought I would be expecting him to release a few albums after the millennium, he is ultimately the king of pop and to retain that title I hardly doubt he has done much. Whilst living in the shadow of his previous mega hits (have to give it to him they were incredible) and seeing his previous album go down quickly, with miserable sales, after spending million on it.
Releasing his number ones albums made me think, is it another type of HIStory album where he had most of his greatest hits, or is it only another money making scam for him to control his recent bankruptcy problems. As we know there are millions of MJ fans and any albums he brings out will be snapped up by them, giving him a good economic boost. However is this album suitable and good enough for the latest generation?
Even though his new single from the album is not marketed very well not like his previous album the compilation of song included in the CD are all his top chart hitters
and any fan of MJ would be definitely pleased to have this,
The CD is basically loaded with 18 tracks two of which have never been released. The cd cover is very simple and the background is full white , at the front MJ is seen Posing in one of his dance moves and under him you have the title of the album Michael Jackson, Number ONES. At the back you get the list of his songs included in the CD. As you open the CD I was amazed to find four postcards in mine, the postcards had pictures of MJ in various dance positions at various stages during his life, therefore the transformation of who is now can be seen from the postcards. I dont know whether this is included in all the CDs as I had pre ordered mine from www.cd-wow.com for a price of £8.99
The songs included are Don't Stop 'Til You Get Enough one of his first songs to be released good instrumentals in her especially with the piano
Rock With You slightly slower one than the not one of his common ones, yet good
Billie Jean One of his mega hits and still my favourite and still recognised to this day, and many remixes have been released yet you cant beat the original
Beat It Another of his good rhythm beats songs , popular in the 80s, MJ trying to be tough
Thriller The song that goes with one of the greatest single videos he has ever produced, a very good song for Halloween. Good upbeat track, one to listen to.
Human Nature slow song, MJ falling in love or lusting for girls.
I Just Can't Stop Loving You another one of his love songs , I would not rate this as one of my favourites yet for you lovers out there, if you want to think of that someone special then this track could definitely be it
Bad Cool song probably more for the teenager than the average adult, good to dance to
The way you make me feel Good song for the 80s would not say its up to the standard you expect music now to be but good golden oldie
Dirty Diana Probably one of MJs song which is the hardest to sing along to , quite fast and upbeat
Smooth Criminal as I was saying the above was hard to understand this is even worse, he sings or speaks so fast yet the music is one of the best , still very good , recently released again by alien ant farm
Black or White Is he trying to tell us something ?
You Are Not Alone A very good slow song, truly brings out the quality of MJ voice
Earth Song We all know how MJ loves the planet and children, this song is sending a message to all people about the destruction and warfare in this world, powerful song, just imagine if the song had the same affect as it had on the sales then we would truly be living in pace, very good
Blood On The Dance Floor not a great fan of this, 2 step song hard to understand what he saying not much music in this one.
You Rock My World from his album invincible probably the best song in that album,
Break of Dawn His first new one in this album not released ever slow , but and ok, nothing compared to his previous one, I think it hasnt got the same essence and emotions as the others
One More Chance second new track and one which he has released as a single purely written by R Kelly , slow RnB type dont think it will make number one , no wonder he wrote the song for MJ, he himself needs all the good songs he can get.
Overall it is a very good album of all his hits, but if you a huge MJ fan then yu probably would have all these songs. Targeting a new audience well thats to individual preferences, one piece of advice to first time listeners definitely buy the album he has some very good tracks especially if you are a fan of the 80s and 90s. Dont judge his music by the way he presents himself , he may be a freak but his music contradicts all that.

Good op, I was a HUGE MJ fan in my early teens where as all the stuff going on now i gone off him completly so won't buy the album although like you says his music was good,
