...this album is a must have far anyone who describes themselves as being in to hip hop, indi rock and dance music. the remix team at DFA is headed up by the companys founders, James Murphy (aka LCD soundsystem) and ex-UNKLE member TIm Goldsworthy and together they crate wity, infectiously dancable and memrobale reworking of clasic songs from every genre, bringing there NY electro flavor to each one. not only is this a good album but also a good introduction to the DFA as a lable. based in NY the DFA (death from above records, referd to as the DFA after a legal dispute with Death From Above 1979) are an elctronia and indi orientated lable who are at the cuting edge of musical cool. there roster includes bands like Hot Chip, LCD soundsystem, Black Dice, Nine inche nails, and many more. check it out... Advantages: Great acoustic music
Disadvantages: some tracks are not how you know them

...I don't often listen to Radio 1, but this one time I did, they were playing only tracks recorded in the live lounge - And I Loved It. the songs were not remastered and you could hear the lyrics and music without all the extras that make some people buy their tracks. The copies by artists of other artists songs are of superb quality, and some really make it their own. When I listen to them I just love the fact that they are live recordings with no additionals. Its great that artists are comfortable with singing live, acoustic, and other peoples songs. By listening to the tracks you can tell which artists can sing and which artists definately need to remaster their tracks to sell their singles/albums. Or which need to lip synch for their live gigs. I'll let you make up your own mind who you think these artists are out of artists like... Read review

...I found this CD absolutely excellent! It has a range of different songs which is perfect for someone like me who has a very broad genre, and also means not one person could be disappointed, as it is suitable for all music lovers. It probably is one of the best albums i have bought over the summer and has managed to stay in my cd player for a lot longer than any other cd has managed to do, even though the summer has now gone. It is full of many upbeat songs to get you in the mood for just about anything from dancing to romance and certainly makes a long journey in the car seem a lot more enjoyable! It also makes the weather become a lot more bearable!... Read review
