Advantages: catchy tunes, cute band Disadvantages: a bit too poppy and simple for some, unoriginal
...A couple of years ago, my housemate Marisa and I were lamenting the fact that we never start liking bands until they have become well-established. This year 2000 conversation was brought on by the fact that I was really into Radiohead's 'The Bends', but the band had already moved on to a different style. Yes, I am behind the times. But at least I admit it.
Marisa and another friend of ours (Michelle) discovered OK Go when they were opening for a band called They Might Be Giants. I was not at this concert, since I find TMBG to be extremely irritating, but I liked the sound of OK Go, as described by my friends. The thing that sold me was the fact that they had covered 'Hold the Line' by Toto and that they were cute. This band is nerdy enough to be non-threatening, but young and attractive in a traditional heart-throb way, as well...

Advantages: A Couple of jaunty, bouncy pop songs Disadvantages: Too much filler

Advantages: Incredibly catchy songs Disadvantages: Too short?
...Having first heard the opening track "Get Over It" on a video on the internet I was immediately hooked. Asking my friends I found that none of them had heard of Ok Go - certainly none of them had heard the CD. I was determined to hear more.
Buying the CD was the best decision I had made in a while. All of the tracks are ridiculously catchy, usually upbeat and well written.
After the opening track "Get Over It", which you feel obligated to learn the lyrics to IMMEDIATELY, comes an equally upbeat song "Don't Ask Me" and one of my favourites "You're So Damn Hot".
Following this are two tracks I did not to expect to find on the album "What to Do" and "1000 Miles Per Hour" each providing fantastically memorable lyrics such as "Sweetheart, you'll find mediocre people do exceptional things allthe time" and "We'll fly by wheat fields...
